예비유아교사의 아동학대 신고 및 신고 이행에 대한 인식

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 예비유아교사의 아동학대 신고와 신고 이행에 대한 인식을 살펴보고 신고 행동 증진을 위한 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 방법 D 대학교 유아교육과 2학년에 재학 중인 62명의 예비유아교사를 대상으로 개방형 설문지와 면담를 활용해 자료 수집을 하였으며 개방형 코딩을 통해 범주화의 과정을 거쳐 자료를 분석하였다. 결과 첫째. 예비유아교사들은 아동학대 신고에 대해 반드시 신속하게 이루어져야 하는 신고로서 자신들의 올바른 선택을 통해 아동의 삶이 바뀔 수 있다고 인식한 반면 신고의 어려움과 우려 속에 주저하게 될 수도 있다고 보았다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들은 아동학대 신고에 대한 관심을 보였으며 미래의 신고의무자로서의 역할에 대한 이해와 수용 그리고 실천 의지를 보였다. 셋째, 아동학대 신고 행동 증진을 위해 예비유아교사들은 익명성 보장 및 신고자 보호, 신고 후 철저한 후속 조치 및 관리, 아동학대 신고 관련 홍보와 교육의 개선, 사회적 인식 개선과 실천 의지 함양에 대한 의견을 제시하였다. 결론 본 연구를 통해 예비유아교사들의 아동학대 신고에 대한 다양한 이해를 볼 수 있었으며 이러한 인식을 바탕으로 신고 행동 증진을 위한 개선 방향을 탐색해볼 수 있었다. 이를 통해 아동학대 신고율 제고를 위한 기초적인 자료와 방안 마련을 위한 시사점을 제공한다는 점에서 연구적 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to examine pre-service early childhood teachers perception of reporting and implementation of reporting child abuse, and then to seek ways to improve reporting behaviors. Methods Data were collected using open questionnaires from 62 pre-service early childhood teachers at D University, and the data were analyzed by open coding. Results first, the pre-service early childhood teachers perceived that child abuse reports should be made promptly and that children s lives could be changed by making the right decisions, but they could be hesitant in the difficulties and concerns of reporting. Second, the pre-service early childhood teachers were interested in reporting child abuse, and they understood and accepted their role as mandated reporters of child abuse. Third, the pre-service early childhood teachers expressed their opinions to promote child abuse reporting behavior which include ensuring the anonymity of the reporter, improving publicity and education related to child abuse reporting, and improving social awareness. Conclusions In this study, it was possible to investigate various understandings of the pre-service early childhood teachers perception on child abuse reporting, and to explore the improvement directions for improving reporting behavior based on these perceptions. Through the results, the significance of this study can be found in that it provides basic data and implications for raising the child abuse report rate.
