베트남 여성 결혼이민자의 한국 식문화 적응 양상

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 Berry의 문화 적응 이론을 적용하여 한국에 거주하는 베트남 여성 결혼이민자들의 식문화 적응 양상을 조사하고, 다양한 적응 유형으로 분류하여 거주기간에 따른 식문화 적응의 변화를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 방법 본 연구는 인천시에 거주하는 베트남 여성 결혼이민자를 대상으로 하였다. 참여자들은 거주기간에 따라 3개 그룹으로 나누어 모집되었으며, 거주기간은 3개월 미만, 3년 이상, 6년 이상이다. Berry의 문화 적응 이론을 기반으로 하여, 베트남 여성 결혼이민자의 식문화 적응 과정을 이해하기 위해 설문지를 개발하였다. 그 후에는 개별적으로 참여자들과 심층면담을 진행하여 식문화 적응에 대한 경험과 감정을 자세히 파악하였다. 결과 Berry의 문화 적응 이론을 활용하여 베트남 여성 결혼이민자들이 한국에서의 식문화 적응 양상을 분석한 결과, 거주기간에 따른 식문화 적응의 변화는 초기 거부에서부터 중간 통합, 최종적 동화까지의 단계를 거치며 성공적으로 적응하고 있다는 결과를 도출하였다. 3개월 미만 거주자 그룹은 언어적 어려움과 문화 적응 도전에 직면하고 있으며, 3년 이상 거주자 그룹은 새로운 음식 다양성과 언어적 소통의 어려움 등에 직면하고 있었다. 또한, 6년 이상 거주자 그룹은 언어적 어려움을 극복하고 건강한 음식 선택, 매운 음식 및 배달 문화에 대한 적응이 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다. 결론 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 거주기간에 따라 대응이 필요한 부분을 고려하여, 다양한 정책적 지원을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to apply Berry's acculturation theory to investigate the aspects of adaptation to the food culture of Vietnamese female marriage immigrants living in Korea, classify them into various adaptation types, and identify changes according to the period of residence. Methods This study targeted Vietnamese female marriage immigrants living in Incheon City. Participants were recruited by dividing them into three groups according to their residence period: less than 3 months, more than 3 years, and more than 6 years. Based on Berry's acculturation theory, a questionnaire was developed to understand the food culture adaptation process of Vietnamese female marriage immigrants. Afterwards, in-depth interviews were conducted individually with the participants to understand in detail their experiences and feelings about adapting to the food culture. Results As a result of analyzing the aspects of Vietnamese female marriage immigrants' adaptation to food culture in Korea using Berry's acculturation theory, the change in food culture adaptation according to the period of residence successfully adapts through stages from initial rejection to intermediate integration and final assimilation. The result was derived. The group of residents who lived for less than 3 months faced language difficulties and cultural adaptation challenges, while the group who lived for more than 3 years faced new food diversity and difficulties with language communication. Additionally, the group of residents living for more than 6 years confirmed the need to overcome language difficulties and adapt to healthy food choices, spicy food, and delivery culture. Conclusions Based on these results, various policy support was proposed, taking into account the areas that require response depending on the period of residence.
