인공지능 리터러시를 위한 AI 융합 영어 쓰기 수업 모형 개발

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 인공지능 리터러시를 위한 생성형 AI 융합 영어 쓰기 수업 모형을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 방법 인공지능 리터러시, 프롬프트 엔지니어링, 생성형 AI, 영어 쓰기 수업 모형 개발과 관련한 문헌 및 선행연구를 분석한 후 모형 시안의 목적과 이론적 준거를 마련하고, 교육공학 전문가와 영어 교육 전문가 5인으로부터 내적 타당도를 검증받았다. 모형 시안은 영어 교사 1인이 학생 약 48명을 대상으로 2023년 11월에 약 2주간 현장 적용하고 내용을 수정⋅보완하여 최종 모형을 확정하였다. 결과 이를 위하여 서울 소재 중학교 1학년 학생 31명을 대상으로 인공지능 리터러시와 영어 쓰기에 대한 정의적인 태도를 측정하기 위한 검사 사전⋅사후에 실시하였다. 최종 수업 모형은 총 7단계로 구성하여 학습자, 교수자, 생성형 AI의 역할에 따라 구분하였고 최종 교수 전략은 9개의 수업 설계 원리에 따라 수업 모형의 세부 단계에 적용할 수 있는 총 39개의 교수 전략을 선정하였다. 결론 본 연구에서 개발한 모형은 생성형 AI 융합 영어 쓰기 수업에서 생성형 AI와 상호작용하는 과정에서 프롬프트 엔지니어링 기법을 전략적이고 체계적으로 도입한다면 학생의 발산적인 질문과 능동적인 학습 태도를 이끌 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 그리고 이를 위한 수업 모형 및 교수 전략 개발을 통해 교수자가 프롬프트 엔지니어링 기반 생성형 AI 융합 영어 쓰기 수업을 설계하고 운영하는 데에 참고할 수 있는 효과적인 지침이 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to develop a model for an English writing class integrating Generative AI for artificial intelligence literacy. Methods Literature and prior research on artificial intelligence literacy, prompt engineering, Generative AI, and the development of English writing class models were analyzed. The model prototype's purpose and theoretical foundation were established, validated for internal consistency by five experts in educational technology and English education. The prototype was tested with one English teacher and approximately 48 students over a two-week period in December 2023, refining its content for the final model. Results To achieve this, 31 first-year middle school students in Seoul were assessed through pre- and post-tests to measure their attitudes toward artificial intelligence literacy and English writing. The final class model consisted of seven stages, distinguishing between learner, instructor, and Generative AI roles. Nine teaching strategies were applied to 39 detailed stages of the class model, aligning with instructional design principles. Conclusions The developed model holds significance in encouraging students' divergent questioning and proactive learning attitudes through strategic and systematic integration of Generative AI interaction within the English writing class. Moreover, through the development of this class model and teaching strategies, it is anticipated to serve as an effective guideline for educators to design and implement prompt engineering-based Generative AI integrated English writing classes.
