국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 2년제 대학생의 캡스톤 디자인 수업에 대한 경험의 의미 탐색을 목적으로 한다. 방법 수도권에 소재하고 있는 2년제 대학에 재학 중인 대학생 7인을 대상으로 심층면담을 활용한 사례연구를 하였다. 연구참여자는 캡스톤 디자인 과목을 수강하기 위한 요건인 졸업 마지막 학기의 4학기 재학생들로, 15주 동안 매주 3시간씩 캡스톤 디자인 수업에 참여하였다. 연구면담 기록지 등을 통한 삼각검증법과 연구참여자 확인 과정을 거쳐 타당성과 신뢰성을 높이려는 노력을 하였다. 결과 2년제 대학생의 캡스톤 디자인 수업경험의 의미는 첫째, 전공 교과목의 이해도 증진과 실무능력 향상의 기회획득의 장. 둘째, 일과 인간관계에 대한 인식 재정립의 계기. 셋째, 창의적인 문제해결역량을 향상시키고 자발적으로 지식을 생산해 나가는 단계에서 성장한 자신을 만나는 것으로 드러났다. 결론 향후 캡스톤 디자인 수업을 이해하고 학생들의 실질적인 역량 강화를 위한 체계적인 캡스톤 디자인 수업 운영 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 활용되는 데 유의미할 것으로 여겨진다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of college students' experiences in capstone design classes. Methods A case study using in-depth interviews was conducted with 7 college students enrolled in a two-year university located in the metropolitan area. Participants in the study were students in the fourth semester of the last semester of graduation, which is a requirement to take a capstone design course, and participated in a capstone design class for 3 hours a week for 15 weeks. Efforts were made to increase the validity and reliability through triangular verification and research participant confirmation process through research interview records. Results The meaning of the college student's capstone design class experience is, first, a venue for acquiring opportunities to improve understanding of major subjects and improve practical skills. Second, an opportunity to re-establish awareness of work-human relationships. Third, it turned out that they met themselves who grew up in the stage of improving their creative problem-solving skills and voluntarily producing knowledge. Conclusions It is believed that it will be meaningful to understand capstone design classes in the future and use them as basic data for systematic capstone design classes to strengthen students' practical skills.
