국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 중학생이 인식한 부모의 양육태도와 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 교사관계 인식의 종단적 매개효과를 확인하는 것이다. 즉, 시간의 흐름 속에서 부모의 양육태도가 교사관계 인식을 통해 청소년의 삶의 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 청소년 정신건강을 위한 프로그램 개발의 기초자료 제공과 청소년 생활지도에 있어 교사의 역할에 대한 중요성을 강조하고자 한다. 방법 본 연구를 위해 한국아동⋅청소년패널조사 2018(KCYPS 2018)의 중1패널 중 2019년(중1)부터 2021년(중3)까지 3년간의 데이터를 활용하였다. 대상은 총 2,325명으로 자기회귀교차지연모형을 이용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 이 모델은 기존의 횡단적 모형에서는 반영하기 어려웠던 시간적 선행성을 고려할 수 있고, 자기회귀계수의 크기도 검증할 수 있으며, 매개효과 추정 시 매개변인과 종속변인의 이전 상태를 통제한 후 효과를 추정할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 결과 연구 결과, 이전 시점의 긍정적 양육태도는 이후 시점의 교사관계 인식에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 이전 시점의 부정적 양육태도는 이후 시점의 교사관계 인식에 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 청소년이 지각한 부모의 양육태도가 교사와의 관계 형성에도 밀접한 영향을 줄 수 있다는 부분을 시사한다. 또한, 이전 시점의 교사관계 인식은 다음 시점의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 이는 교사와의 관계에 대한 긍정적 인식 여부 정도가 이후 청소년의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미친다는 것이다. 즉, 부모의 양육태도와 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 교사관계 인식은 종단적 매개효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 결론 이러한 결과는 이전의 부모의 양육태도가 이후 시점의 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치고 있음을 의미한다. 또한, 이 경로에서 교사관계에 대해 긍정적 또는 부정적으로 인식하느냐에 따라 청소년의 삶의 만족도가 달라질 수 있다고 예측할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the longitudinal mediating effect of teacher relationship perceptions on the relationship between middle school students' perceived parenting attitudes and life satisfaction, i.e., to determine how parenting attitudes affect adolescents' life satisfaction over time through teacher relationship perceptions. This study provides a basis for developing programs for adolescent mental health and highlights the importance of the role of teachers in guiding adolescents' lives. Methods The study utilized three years of data from 2019(middle 1) to 2021(middle 3) from the middle 1 panel of the Korea Child and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS 2018). The total number of subjects was 2,325, and the data was analyzed using an autoregressive cross-lagged model. This model has the advantage of being able to consider temporal antecedence, which is difficult to reflect in conventional cross-sectional models, verify the size of the auto-regressive coefficient, and estimate the effect after controlling the prior state of the mediator and the dependent variable when estimating the mediating effect. Results Positive parenting attitudes at the earlier time point were found to have a positive effect on teacher relationship perceptions at the later time point, while negative parenting attitudes at the earlier time point had a negative effect on teacher relationship perceptions at the later time point. This suggests that adolescents' perceived parenting attitudes may closely influence the formation of relationships with teachers. In addition, we found that teacher relationship perceptions at the earlier time point influenced life satisfaction at the later time point. This means that the extent to which adolescents perceive their relationships with teachers to be positive affects their subsequent life satisfaction. In other words, teacher relationship perceptions have a longitudinal mediating effect on the relationship between parenting attitudes and life satisfaction. Conclusions These results suggest that the parents’ parenting attitudes at prior time points are influencing middle school students’ life satisfaction at later time points. We can also predict that adolescents' life satisfaction may vary depending on whether they perceive their teacher relationships as positive or negative in this pathway.
