국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 조선 후기 한글소설을 통해 우리 고유의 아동관을 탐색하여 아동에 대한 진지한 고찰을 이루고자 한다. 방법 이를 위하여 국립중앙도서관 소장 선본(善本) 계열 고소설을 정리한 󰡔선본 해제 11󰡕의 목록에서 단계별 문헌 추출방법에 따라 아동 이해에 의미 있는 문헌을 추출하여 아동관 분석 모형에 근거하여 아동관을 분석하였다. 결과 조선시대 아동은 첫째, 현실적 시련의 대상이지만 이를 극복하고자 하는 염원과 바람을 이루어내길 바라는 애정의 대상이다. 둘째, 미래에 본받을만한 비범한 대상이자 충분히 그러한 존재로 나아갈 수 있는 한 가족의 현 구성원이다. 결론 아동은 표면적 주제를 통해 유교적 관념과 가치를 따라야 하는 엄격한 교육과 성장의 대상이지만 이면적 주제 속 민중의 염원에는 현실적 고통과 고난에서 벗어나 따뜻하고 안전한 울타리에서 성장하길 바라는 애정 어린 대상으로서의 복합적인 아동관이 드러난다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study aim to achieve a serious consideration of children by exploring our unique view of children using Korean novels from the late Joseon Dynasty. Methods For this purpose, we extracted documents meaningful for children's understanding from the list of 󰡔Seonbon Haeje 11󰡕, which organizes classic novels owned by the National Library of Korea, and analyzed children's views according to the children's view analysis model. Results First, children in the Joseon Dynasty were the objects of realistic trials, but they were also the objects of affection in the hope that they would achieve their aspirations and wishes to overcome them. Second, it is an extraordinary object that can be taught a lesson and a precious member of a family that can fully develop into such a being. Conclusions On the surface, children are the subject of strict education and growth that must follow Confucian concepts and values, but on the other side, the people's aspirations include a complex view of children as affectionate objects who want to escape from realistic pain and suffering and grow up in a warm and safe environment reflected.
