객관적/주관적 경제수준이 친구관계만족에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 노인의 객관적/주관적 경제수준이 친구관계만족에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 살펴보고, 성별에 따른 차이를 보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 제8차 노후보장패널을 활용하여 65세 이상 부부가구의 남성노인 1,078명, 여성노인 854명을 분석하였다. 자료분석을 위하여 STATA 14.0통계프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계분석, t-test, 다중회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 노인의 객관적 소득과주관적 독립감은 친구관계만족에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 성별로 나누어 분석한 결과 남성의 경우 주관적 독립감이, 여성의 경우 객관적 소득 수준이 친구관계 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 부부가구를 하나의 가구단위로서만 보아 소득을 보전하는 측면 뿐 아니라, 성별에 따른 심리적 측면을 면밀히 고려하는 것이 필요함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the economic level of the elderly on satisfaction of friendship and compared gender differences. This study analyzed 1,074 male and 851 female aged over 65 years using the 7th Korean Retirement and Income Study. For the data analysis, STATA 14.0 statistics program was used to conduct descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, and multiple regression analysis. The houshold income level and Independence of elderlies had a positive impact on friendship satisfaction. The analysis results by gender showed that, for male, economic independence and for female, household income level had a positive impact on friendship satisfaction. This result indicated that the social expectation according to the gender of the elderly generation made a difference in the participation in economic activities. Accordingly, the importance of economic independence that was affected by the income source, etc. was different between the two genders. Based on these results, this study proposed the need to not only preserve the income of the elderly couple as a single household unit but also carefully consider the psychological aspect according to their genders.
