국문 초록

유발 하라리에 의하면 인류 역사의 흐름에 따라 호모 사피엔스의 끝없는 혁명을 통해서 인류의 종말을맞이한다. 이러한 현상은 4차 산업혁명 이후 더욱 뚜렷해진다. 인간보다 강한 종은 포스트휴먼(Post-human)이라 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 인간이 직면해야 할 문제는 인간에 관한 문제뿐 아니라 비인간으로 뻗어나가야 한다. 1932년 올더스 헉슬리는 첨단 과학 기술로 절대 통제된 사회를 소재했다. 이 소설은 미래 사회에서 인간 존재의 의미에 대한 생각할 수 있게 했으며, 특히 교육 문제에 대해 주목하게 한다. 여기에 초점을 두어, 교육 및 교육 과정을 강조한 플라톤의 '좋음의 이데아' 이론으로 소설에서 비합리적인 교육 제도를 비판하고자 한다. 이와 더불어 현대 사회에서도 플라톤의 이 교육 개념은 어느 정도 타당성이 있다고 본다. 과학 기술이 급성장한 지금은 인간에게 교육이 무엇인지, 혹은 ' 좋음'이 무엇인지 스스로 묻게 될 질문이며, 스스로 답을 찾아야 한다. 이 '좋음'은 현대 사회에 교육이필요한 이유이다.

영문 초록

The book 'Sapiens' written by Yuval Harari, it's argued that the Homo species was able to shape human history due to their desire to alter their destiny through continuous revolution. By relying on cutting-edge science and technology to enhance human physical and mental abilities, human capacities have been transformed beyond recognition. This phenomenon is analogous to the current situation in which science and technology have permeated people's lives and significantly altered their lifestyles. This is particularly evident after the four industrial revolutions. Consequently, the challenge facing humanity extends beyond humans to non-human entities. In 1932, 'Brave New World' was published, which depicted a society dominated by science and technology. It allows us to re-examine ourselves and understand the significance of human existence in future society characterized by science and technology. This report focuses on the novel's unreasonable educational systems, which reflect some of the current educational situations in society. Plato, an ancient Greek philosopher, emphasized the importance of education and the educational process through three metaphors. His theory is also applicable in the current social environment of scientific development. From an educational perspective, we must ask ourselves what goodness is and find our own answers. The education of goodness represents the true meaning of our current social education.
