국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국에서 최근 10여 년간 병역제도에 대한 연구 동향을 분석하는 것이다. 한국 학술지 인용 색인에서 ‘병역’, ‘징병제’, ‘모병제’ 키워드로 검색한 결과 총 256개의 논문이 추출되었으며, 연구목적에 맞는 총 162개의 논문을 분석 대상으로 하였다. 연구주제측면에서 양심적 병역거부 연구가가장 많고, 병역특례제도개선, 모병제 도입 순 이었다. 학술지 학문분야 측면에서는 법학이 가장 많이차지하였는데 양심적 병역거부가 법적인 문제이기 때문으로 해석된다. 다음으로 모병제에 관한 연구는법학, 군사학, 행정 및 정책학, 사회학 등 다양한 분야에서 연구되었다. 연구방법에서는 문헌연구가 가장 많았으며, 경험연구나 사례연구 등 은 매우 소수 이었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 미래연구방향에 관한제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends on the military service system in Korea for the past 10 years. A total of 256 papers were extracted as a result of searching with the keywords 'military service', 'conscription system', and 'recruitment system' in the Korean Journal Citation Index and a total of 162 papers that fit the research purpose was analyzed. In terms of research topics, studies on conscientious objection were the most common, followed by improvement of the special military service system and introduction of the military recruitment system. In terms of academic journals, law studies accounted for the most, which is interpreted as conscientious objection to military service is a legal issue. Next, research on the recruitment system was conducted in various fields such as law, military science, public administration and policy studies, and sociology. Literature studies were the most common, and empirical studies or case studies using actual data were very few. Based on the research results, suggestions for future research directions were presented.
