고령자의 사회경제적 지위가 건강상태에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 고령자의 사회경제적 지위가 건강상태에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 활동참여와 인지기능의 순차적 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 분석 대상은 8차 고령화연구패널조사 유효 표본수 4,405명 중 65 세 이상 고령자 결측치를 제거한 3,364명이다. 통계분석은 PROCESS macro v.4.1 프로그램모델 6과SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 사회적 활동참여와 인지기능의 순차적 매개효과의 유의성을 검증한결과, 사회경제적 지위가 건강상태에 미치는 총 간접효과, 사회경제적 지위와 건강상태의 관계에서 사회적 활동참여의 매개효과, 사회경제적 지위와 건강상태의 관계에서 인지기능의 매개효과, 사회경제적지위와 건강상태의 관계에서 사회적 활동참여와 인지기능의 순차적 매개효과의 순차적 경로가 통계적으로 모두 유의하게 검증되었다. 본 연구의 결과에 의하여 고령자의 건강상태의 악화를 예방하거나 호전시킬 수 있는 실천 방법의 모색을 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to verify the sequential mediating effect of social activity participation and cognitive function in the effect of the socioeconomic status of the elderly on health status. The subjects of the analysis were 3,364 out of 4,405 valid samples of the 8th Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging, which removed missing values for the elderly aged 65 or older. For statistical analysis, PROCESS macro v.4.1 program model 6 and SPSS 25.0 program were used. As a result of verifying the significance of the sequential mediating effect of social activity participation and cognitive function, the total indirect effect of socioeconomic status on health status, the mediating effect of social activity participation in socioeconomic status, and the sequential mediating effect of socioeconomic status. As a result of this study, implications for finding a practical method that can prevent or improve the deterioration of the health status of the elderly were proposed.
