국문 초록

이 논문은 미야자키 하야오의 <벼랑 위의 포뇨>에 나타난 이미지의 서사와 시각예술의 형태를 정동(情 動)의 관점으로 고찰하는 것이 목적이다. 텍스트가 내포한 세계관의 다각적 해석을 위해서는 물상(物 像)의 운동성과 형태 차이를 정동의 측면에서 탐색하는 시도가 필요하다. 이러한 정동적 상상력과 의미적 화소 간의 연결성을 일반화하는 ‘군(群) 이론’을 통한 접근은 성장담의 의미 인식을 확장시킨다. 애니메이션 그림의 기하학적 형태 변환을 대칭군(對稱群)으로 고찰하고 서사적 연결과 내러티브의 대응성을 치환군(置換群)으로 탐색한 결과 주제성이 명확해지고 풍부해졌다. 이 글은 예술과 학문의 융합적측면에서 애니메이션의 서사와 형태적 상징을 고찰하고, 정동으로서의 형태성을 군(群) 이론으로 분석하는 방법론을 제시했다는 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the narrative of images and the form of visual art in Hayao Miyazaki's “Ponyo on the Cliff” from the viewpoint of affect. For the multilateral interpretation of the worldview implied by the text, an attempt to explore the movement and shape difference of objects from the aspect of affect is necessary. The approach through the 'group theory' that generalizes the connection between these affective imagination and semantic motifs expands the meaning recognition of growth stories. As a result of examining the transformation of geometric shapes in animation pictures as a symmetrical group and exploring the correspondence between narrative connection and narrative as a permutation group, the subject matter became clearer and richer. This article has the significance of considering the narration and morphological symbols of animation in terms of the convergence of art and learning, and presenting a methodology to analyze the morphological properties as affect as a group theory.
