국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 COVID-19 상황에서 방역과 교육을 병행했던 중등 교사들의 경험을 탐색하고 이들이 제시한 교육 차원에서의 포스트 뉴노멀(new normal)을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 연구자들은 최대 변량 표집으로 접근하여 11명의 연구 참여자를 선정했다. 자료는 연구 참여자들과 1:1 심층 면담을 수행하여 구성했다. 자료 분석은 Braun과 Clarke(2006)가 제시한 주제분석(Thematic Analysis) 방법으로 접근하였다. 주제분석(Thematic Analysis)은 연구자들이 제시한 6단계 절차에 따라 분석했고 하위 주제와 주제를 발굴했다. 결과 자료를 분석한 결과 45개의 하위 주제가 도출되었으며 이를 의미의 공통성 차원에서 재결집하여 9개의 주제를 구상했다. 9개의 주제는 교육을 통한 사회 응집력의 재건, 소외 학생에 대한 두터운 배려, 학교 위기 관리 시스템 구축, 온라인교육의 내실화, 안전하고 행복한 학교, 수평적 의사결정 구조의 개편, 교육 협력 파트너로서의 학부모, 교사 동료 장학시스템 활성화, 전시성 교육의 해체로 나타났다. 결론 COVID-19는 위기였지만 재난 레질리언스를 유발했으며 교사들에게 우리 교육의 본질을 다시금 성찰하는 계기를 주었다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was designed to explore the experiences of secondary school teachers who took preventive measures and did a job of teaching simultaneously in the COVID-19 situation, and to find out the post-new normal in terms of education presented by them. Methods The authors used the maximum variation sampling approach and selected eleven teachers as participants. The data was based on one-on-one in-depth interviews with the them. Data analysis was approached using the Thematic Analysis method suggested by Braun and Clarke (2006). Thematic analysis was conducted according to the six-step procedure suggested by the researchers, and sub-topics and themes were discovered. Results As a result of analyzing the research data, forty-five sub-themes were derived, and nine themes were conceived by reassembling them in the dimension of commonality in the meaning of commonality. The nine themes are: reconstruction of social cohesion through education, deep consideration for underprivileged students, establishment of school organic management system, substantive online education, safe and happy school, reorganization of horizontal decision-making structure, parents as educational cooperation partners, effective practices of the peers’ supervision and the dismantling of superficial education. Conclusions Although COVID-19 caused a crisis, it provided an opportunity for teachers to reflect on the nature of our education with disaster resilience.
