사이버대학 성인학습자의 디지털 리터러시 역량 모델링

국문 초록

최근 정보와 지식기반 사회로의 전환과 함께 새로운 평생교육기관 및 고등교육환경으로 사이버대학교의 위상이 강화되고 있다. 사이버대학교의 주요 재학생은 성인학습자로 구성되어 있고, 이들이 성공적으로 학교생활을 수행하기 위해서는 디지털 리터러시 역량이 필요하다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 사이버대학교 성인학습자에게 적합한 디지털 리터러시에 대한 필수 역량을 도출하는 목적으로 진행되었다. 이러한 목적을 위해 우선 디지털 역량에 관한 선행연구 분석과 전문가 심층인터뷰를 통해 성인학습자에게 요구되는 디지털 리터러시 역량을 세분화하여 잠정적인 역량을 도출하였다. 그런 다음 22명의 사이버대학교 현직 전문가 집단을 대상으로 2019년 9월 23일부터 10월 19일까지 2차에 걸친 델파이기법을 실시하여 잠정적인 역량을 수정하였다. 마지막으로 도출된 역량에 대해 전문가를 대상으로 타당도 검증을 실시하여 5개의 역량군, 16개의 역량, 26개의 역량 정의를 최종적으로 확정하였다. 연구결과 사이버대학 성인학습자들에게 필요한 디지털 리터러시 역량은 ‘정보와 자료이용 역량군’, ‘의사소통과 협업 역량군’, ‘디지털 콘텐츠 개발 역량군’, ‘안전과 보안 역량군’, 그리고 ‘문제해결 역량군’으로 구성되었음을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 사이버대학교에 근무하는 교수의 관점뿐만 아니라 행정을 담당하는 직원의 관점에서 성인학습자에게 필요하다고 판단되는 디지털 리터러시 역량을 추출한 것이다. 이러한 결과는 이러닝을 수강하는 학습환경뿐만 아니라 학교시스템을 이용할 때 요구되는 디지털 리터러시 역량까지 종합적으로 포함하였기 때문에 향후 성인학습자의 성공적인 학업을 지원하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Recently, with the transition to an information and knowledge-based society, the status of cyber universities has been strengthened as means of new lifelong educational institutions and higher education systems. The major students at cyber university are composed of adult learners, who need digital literacy competency to succeed in school life. In this context, the purpose of this study was to derive the essential competency for digital literacy suitable for cyber university adult-learners. For this purpose, analyzing previous studies on digital competencies and in-depth interviews with experts were conducted to derive the potential digital literacy competency required by adult learners. Then, the Delphi survey of 22 in-service cyber university experts was implemented to revise potentially designed digital literacy competency for adult learners. Lastly, the validity of the revised digital literacy competence was conducted by experts and finally five unites of competency, 16 detailed competencies, and 26 competencies definitions were finalized. The results of the research has it that the digital literacy competence required for cyber university adult learners are information and data use competency , communication and collaboration competency , digital content development competency , safety and security competency and problem solution competence . The digital literacy competency necessary for adult learners is to extracted not only from the perspective of in-service professors at cyber university but also from that of administrative staff. These results, which include comprehensive digital literacy competency not only for the e-learning environment but also for using school systems, can be used as basic data to support the successful learning of cyber university adult learners in the future.
