국문 초록

이 연구는 과학중점고등학교 학생들의 계열별 직업 가치관의 차이와 직업 가치관의 유형을 확인하기 위하여 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 11개 직업 가치관 문항으로 구성된 직업가치관 검사도구를 활용하여 과학중점고등학교 학생 445명의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 학생들은 전반적으로 능력발휘와 안정성을 중요한 직업 가치관으로 생각하였으며, 계열별로 창의성과 지도력 발휘가 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 잠재계층분석을 통해 확인한 직업 가치관의 유형은 안정성을 추구하는 유형, 사회적 인정을 추구하는 유형, 창의적 발전을 추구하는 유형으로 크게 구분되었다. 창의적 발전을 추구하는 유형에서는 유의미한 수준에서 과학중점계열의 학생들이 더 많았지만, 전체 과학중점계열의 학생 중 50%가 안정성을 추구하는 유형이었다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 각 계열별 일반적인 직업을 근거로 진로교육을 하기 보다는 학생들의 직업 가치관에 기반한 맞춤형 진로교육의 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to identify the differences in career values and types of career values among science core school students. The instrument for measuring students’ career values, which consists of 11 career values questions, was used and data from 445 high school students were analyzed. As a result, it was shown that students generally regarded ability utilization and stability as important career values, and there was significant difference in creativity and leadership according to their associated academic track. Through latent class analysis three type of career values were identified, the type of seeking stability, the type of seeking social recognition, and the type of seeking creative development. There were more science core track students at a significant level in the type of creative development. However, 50% of the students in the science core class were type of seeking stability. Based on the results, this study suggests that career education based on students’ career value is needed rather than career education based on general vocations in each academic track.
