평가론적 측면에서의 글쓰기 텍스트 오류 양상

국문 초록

본고는 다양한 목표로 이루어지는 글쓰기 교양 과목에서의 표준 평가 지표의 필요성을 염두해 두고 이를 위해 실제 오류 유형을 분석한 연구이다. 글쓰기 첨삭 기준에 대한 보다 객관적인 평가 구조를 제시하기 위해 먼저 교수자가 대학생 글쓰기 텍스트를 이해하기 위한 단계가 무엇인지를 연구하는 데서 출발한다. 이를 위해 2018년 경북 소재 Y대학에서 진행되었던 <융복합 글쓰기> 수업의 조별 작문 과제물을 대상으로 글쓰기 오류 양상을 질적으로 분석하였다. 수강생들은 올더스 헉슬리의 문학 작품 『멋진 신세계』에서 도출된 쟁점을 바탕으로 조별로 글쓰기를 하는 협동 작문 과정이 이루어졌다. 해당 작문의 평가 중 본고에서는 문장과 단락 층위에서의 오류 양상을 중심으로 다루었다. 문장 층위에서는 조사와 어미의 부적절한 사용, 주술 호응의 문제, ‘것’ 명사절 등이 빈번한 오류로 발견되었으며, 단락 층위의 오류로는 불분명한 표현, 일관성 및 통일성의 부재, 소주제문과 뒷받침 문장을 연결하는 전개 과정에서의 오류 등이 있었으며, 이는 텍스트의 결속성을 떨어뜨리는 원인으로 판단하였다. 글쓰기 첨삭 및 평가는 글의 주제, 어휘, 문장, 단락, 텍스트 차원에서 다방면으로 이루어질 수 있는데, 이때 어떠한 요소를 중요시 여기는지에 따라 평가의 객관성과 일관성이 달리된다. 실제 수강생들의 과제 평가를 통해 어떠한 측면에 초점을 두냐에 따라 주관적 평가의 가능성을 살펴보았으며, 각 영역에 대한 평가 비중에 대한 신중한 검토의 필요성을 엿보았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of errors in the university student s writing text, focusing on the group writing cases. The students wrote a assignment based on the issues derived from the 『Brave New World』. In the texts written by the students, I analyzed the errors especially on sentences and paragraph layer. Such a series of processes were conducted for the basic research on the evaluation methods of writing correction system. As a result of analyzing the errors in the sentence layer, it was found that the most frequent errors were inadequate uses of the particles and verb endings, and the response of subject and predicate, and the excessive use of the ‘geos’ noun clause. The type of error on the paragraph layer was a problem of some ambiguous expressions, lack of the consistency and unity, and errors in the process connecting the topics and supporting arguments. These factors cause the reduce the coherence of texts. In the process of evaluating the writing, there was subjective matter by the instructor. And in addition, evaluation of the writing system, it should be evaluated carefully in terms of morphology, syntax, semantics, text, and so on. Furthermore, it is necessary to carefully consider the rating of the evaluation in each field.
