국문 초록

본 연구에서는 Wee센터 학교상담자의 역할을 살펴보기 위하여, 서울 지역 Wee센터 상담실무자 42명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하고 ASCA 학교상담모형의 기획, 운영, 전달, 책무의 4개의 대영역에 기초하여 CQR-M(수정된 합의적 질적연구)방법으로 자 료를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, Wee센터 학교상담자의 역할에 대한 인식은 기획(운영계획 수립), 운영(조직 및 인력관리, 사례관리, 운영효율성 관리), 전달(상담교육, 상담, 위기지원, 연계·자문), 책무(운영 평가 업무)의 9개 중영역, 16개의 하위영역, 그리고 32개의 범주가 도출되었다. 둘째, Wee센터에서 전문상담교사는 행정 및 예산 업무 처리와 같이 ‘운영’하는 역할을, 전문상담사는 상담교육, 상담, 위기지원, 연계·자문의 직·간접적인 상담서비스를 제공하는 역할을 더 많이 수행하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, Wee센터 학교상담자의 고유한 역할에 대한 분석결과, 학교, 외부기관과 연계된 위기 지원 제공, 학생· 학부모 상담 및 학교폭력 사안 개입 지원, 인력 관리 및 과중한 행정 업무, 상위기관으로서의 자문 및 교육 역할 수행, 연중 내내 자체 업무 및 외부기관 연계사업 운영 등이 나타났다. 마지막으로, 연구결과를 토대로 논의 및 제언에서 본 연구의 의의, 제한점, 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the roles of Wee center school counselors. Data from 42 Wee center counseling practitioners in Seoul were collected and analyzed by CQR-M(Consensual qualitative research-modified) method based on the ASCA(American School Counselor Association) model. The results were as follows: first, 4 top-level domains, ‘foundation’, ‘management’, ‘delivery’, and ‘accountability’ were developed, based on the ASCA model. Also, 9 second-level domains, ‘establishment of operational plans’, ‘management of organization and manpower’, ‘management of cases’, ‘management of operational efficiency’, ‘counseling education’, ‘counseling’, ‘support for crisis’, ‘referral-consultation’, ‘assessment of operations’, were developed. 16 third-level domains and 32 categories were developed. Second, counseling teachers were reported to play ‘management’ roles such as administrative and budget-related works, but counselors were reported to play roles of providing direct and indirect counseling services such as counseling education, counseling, support for crisis, and referral-consultation. Third, according to the analysis on distinct roles of Wee center school counselors, Wee centers were reported to play distinct roles such as ‘providing support for crisis related to schools and other organizations’, ‘intervention on school violence issues as well as counseling students and parents’, ‘manpower management and a heavy administrative workload’, ‘providing consultation and education as an umbrella organization’, and ‘doing its own work all the year round and operating referral services to outside agencies’. Finally, the significance, limitations, and implications of study were discussed based on the result of this study.
