예비유아교사의 공감능력과 자아탄력성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사의 공감능력과 자아탄력성이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 J도에 위치한 유아교육과 1～4학년 학생 345명이었다. ‘공감능력’, ‘자아탄력성’, ‘교사효능감’ 검사도구를 통해 연구자료를 수집하 고, 수집된 자료는 기술통계, Pearson의 적률상관관계, 단계적 회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 예비유아교사의 교사효능감과 공감능력, 자아탄력성 간에 유의미한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 교사효능감에 대한 공감능력, 자아탄력성 간의 상대적 영향력을 분석한 결과, 예비유아교사의 자아탄력성보다는 공감능력이 교사효능감을 예측하는 강력한 정적 예측 변인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 교사효능감과 공감능력, 자아탄력성의 하위요인 간의 상대적 영향력을 분석한 결과, 공감능력 중 정서적 공감이 가장 강력한 예측변인으로 나타났으며, 다음으로 자아탄력성의 하위요인인 대인관계 효율성으로 나타났으며, 공감 능력 중 인지적 공감이 추가적으로 예비유아교사의 교사효능감을 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study was to examine the effect of pre-service early childhood teacher’s empathic ability and ego-resilience on teacher efficacy. Study subjects were 345 1～4 year university students who majoring early childhood education in J-do. Data were collected using test tools of ‘empathic ability’, ‘ego-resilience’ and ‘teacher efficacy’, and then collected data were statistically processed through descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. Study findings are as follows: First, there were significantly positive correlations among pre-service early childhood teacher’s teacher efficacy, empathic ability and ego-resilience. Second, regarding the relative effect of pre-service early childhood teacher’s empathic ability and ego-resilience on teacher efficacy, empathic ability was a more positive and powerful predictor variable that predicting teacher efficacy than ego-resilience. Third, regarding the relative effect of sub-variables of pre-service early childhood teacher’s empathic ability and ego-resilience on teacher efficacy, emotional empathy, a sub-variable of empathic ability, was a most powerful predictor variable, and it was followed by interpersonal relation efficacy, a sub-variable of ego-resilience. On the other hand, cognitive empathy, a sub-variable of empathic ability, was an additional predictor variable that predicting pre-service early childhood eacher’s teacher efficacy.
