국문 초록

이 연구에서는 고등학교 유형별로 진로계획과 진로개발역량의 관계를 비교하여 현재 고교체제가 갖는 의미와 고등교육에의 시사점을 탐색하고자 하였다. 분석에는 한국직업능력개발원(KRIVET)의 2019년 진로교육현황조사 고등학생 원 자료(raw data, n=8,365)를 활용하였다. 학교유형별 차이를 확인하기 위하여 χ2검정 및 분산분석을 실시하였고, 집단 간 차이를 밝히기 위해 사후분석을 실시하여 부집단을 비교하였다. 연구결과 학교유형에 따라 고등학생들의 진로계획과 진로개발역량에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 대부분의 고등학생들이 희망직업이 있고 대학교육을 받고자 하는 반면, 학교유형에 따라 대학원 이상의 교육을 희망하거나(과학고ㆍ영재고), 취업 이후 대학 진학을 계획하는 것으로(마이스터고) 나타났다. 진로개발역량과 진로계획 사이에도 집단별로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 고교 졸업직후 진로계획을 세우지 못한 응답자와 희망교육 수준을 결정하지 못한 응답자의 진로개발역량이 낮게 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 현재 고교체제가 대체로 교육목적에 부합하고 있으나 희망직업 선택 이유와 진로개발역량이 학교유형에 따라 차이가 있는 것을 고려해볼 때 학교유형에 적합한 진로교육의 필요성 등을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to confirm relationship between career plans and career competencies by Korean high school types and explore the meaning of the current high school system and its implications for higher education. For the analysis, raw data for high school students (n=8,365) of the 2019 Career Education status Research of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training(KRIVET) were used. To confirm the difference by school type, a χ2 test and an analysis of variance were performed, and post-hoc analyses were performed to determine the difference between groups. As a result of the study, there were statistically significant differences in career plans and career development competencies of high school students by school types. Most of the high school students had a desired occupation and wanted university education, whereas Science High School students and Gifted High School students desired graduate school relatively. There were also significant differences between groups between career capabilities and career plans. Based on this, the current high school system accords with educational purpose, but considering the differences in reason for desired job and career development competencies by school type, the necessity of career education suitable for the school type was suggested.
