국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 졸업생 특성 및 전공과 직무의 일치 여부가 핵심역량, 대학교육 전반에 대한 만족도에 영향을 미치는지 확인하는 데 주된 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해 K대학을 졸업한 지 5년 이하인 졸업생 1,314명의 응답 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 본 연구에서 설정한 영향요인은 핵심역량, 대학 교육과정 만족도(전공교육과정 만족도, 교양교육과정 만족도), 대학생활 만족도(교육여건, 대학시설, 학생지원)이며, 졸업생 특성은 성별과 학문계열은 통제변수로 설정하여 MIMIC(Multiple-indicators Multiple-causes)모형을 중심으로 분석하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학전공과 직무의 일치 여부는 핵심역량 수준과 전공교육과정 만족도, 대학생활 만족도에 따라 차이가 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 즉, 대학전공과 직무가 일치하는 졸업생의 경우 전공과 직무가 불일치한 졸업생에 비해 졸업 당시의 핵심역량, 전공교육 만족도, 대학생활 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 통제변수인 성별과 학문계열은 교양교육과정 만족도와 대학생활 만족도에만 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 전공과 직무의 불일치에 대한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 대학교육 차원에서 실현할 수 있는 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this study was to examine the effect of university education on major-job mismatch after graduating from the university. For this study, 1,341 graduates who graduated from K university for 5 years or less were used for the analysis. Specifically, the determinants of university education were set to core competency, major education, liberal arts education, and university life (education conditions, university facilities, student support), and the research model was designed and analyzed by MIMIC (Multiple-indicators multiple-causes) model by setting the gender and academic background of graduates as control variables. The main results are as follows. First, the control variables such as gender and academic background were found to have a statistically significant effect only on the satisfaction of liberal arts education and university life. Second, it was verified that major-job mismatch of graduates was influenced depending on the level of core competency, major education satisfaction, and university life satisfaction. The higher level of core competency, major education satisfaction, and university life satisfaction, the more major and job of graduates is likely to be congruent. Based on these findings, implications for the strategies that can be realized at university education were presented to overcome the problems of major-job mismatch.
