국문 초록

본 연구는 관광약자의 보편적 행복추구를 위한 방안으로서 유니버설 디자인을 적용한 관광지 환경에 대한 실증조사를 대구지역 주요관광지를 대상으로 폭넓게 실시하였다. 분석결과 관광지내 기본 편의시설인 화장실, 휴게시설, 보행로, 계단 등 기본적인 물리적 환경이 미비한 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 관광약자를 위한 탐방환경에 유니버설 디자인이 폭넓게 구현되고 있지 못한 결과이다. 또한 관광활동에 필요한 다양한 체험콘텐츠도 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 관광이 단순관람을 넘어 다양한 체험프로그램의 유무가 관광지 만족과 재방문의 효과가 있다는 선행연구에 따라 대구지역의 관광지도 미흡한 사항을 개선할 필요성이 제기되었다. 향후 코로나 19사태이후 대구지역의 지역관광이 활성화가 되기 위해서는 국민 모두가 편리하게 관광활동을 향유할 수 있는 환경조성이 곧 지역관광 활성화의 출발점이라는 점을 인식해야할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 대구지역을 한정함으로써 국내 모든 관광지에 적용에는 한계가 있어 향후 지속적인 실증연구의 필요성이 제기되었다. 또한 관광약자가 인식하는 관광지의 관광환경에 대한 논의가 이루어지지 않아 실제적이고 개선가능한 시사점을 도출하는 데에는 한계가 있었다. 따라서 추후에는 이러한 점을 보완한 후속연구가 체계적으로 이루어져 모두가 관광활동을 향유할 수 있는 관광환경을 마련하는데 실질적으로 기여할 수 있기를 바란다.

영문 초록

We conducted a wide range of empirical surveys on the tourist attraction viewing environment applying universal design, targeting major tourist sites in Daegu, as a plan for the pursuit of general happiness for the weakened tourist. We found that basic physical environments such as toilets, rest facilities, walking paths, and stairs, which are basic convenience facilities at tourist destinations, were insufficient. This indicated that the universal design for the weakened tourist was not widely implemented. In addition, we found that the various experiential contents necessary for tourism activity were insufficient. According to previous studies, tourism is more than just simple viewing and the provision of various experience programs has an effect of satisfying tourist destinations and re-visitation; thus, there is a need to improve these points in the tourist spots of Daegu. This study is meaningful in that it has empirically presented a basic discussion that the Daegu area is the starting point for the activation of local tourism in order to promote local tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study has the limitation because it is confined to the Daegu area and cannot be generalized to all domestic tourist destinations. Therefore, there is a need for further empirical research in other areas. In addition, there were limitations in deriving practical and improved implications as there was no discussion about the tourism environment of the tourist attraction recognized by the weakened tourist. Therefore, it is hoped that follow-up studies that complement these points will be systematically conducted to make a substantial contribution to creating a tourism environment in which everyone be able to tour in comfort.
