몽골에서의 한국문학교육과정에 대한 인식과 만족도 조사

국문 초록

몽골대학에서의 한국어교육과 한국문학교육은 1991년부터 시작하여 내년이면 30년이 된다. 이들 대학에서는 보다 효과적이고도 고차원적인 한국어교육을 위하여 초기부터 한국문학교육을 전공필수과목으로 지정하여 시행하고 있으나 여러 가지 당면과제를 안고 있는 것이 현실이다. 몽골에서 한국어 과정을 이수한 이들을 대상으로 한국문학교육에 관한 인식과 만족도를 설문과 인터뷰를 통하여 조사하였다. 분석결과에 따르면 한국문학에 대한 학습경험에 대한 만족도는 낮게 나타났으나 앞으로 한국문학을 읽어보고 싶다는 독서의지는 전체 설문 항목 가운데 가장 높은 점수를 받았다. 인구통계학적인 요인은 한국문학 학습경험 만족도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났는데, 여자들의 한국문학 학습경험 만족도가 남자보다 높게 나타났으며, 연령별로는 40세 이상의 경우 높게 나타났고 20세 이하의 경우는 가장 낮은 점수가 나타났다. 몽골인이 한국 드라마, 영화, 오락 프로그램을 통하여 배우는 일상생활 한국어는 일상적인 기초 대화를 수행하는 데에는 큰 도움이 될 수 있으나, 추상적인 소재를 다루는 연구 내용이나 심도 있는 문학작품을 이해하고 파악하는 데에는 훨씬 높은 수준의 한국어 능력을 필요로 한다. 그러므로 높은 단계의 이해력을 가진 한국어 구사능력을 갖추기 위한 한국어 심화학습에서는 한국문학교육이 필수라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과가 몽골에서의 한국문학교육의 정책을 입안하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Korean language and literature education was introduced in the University of Mongolia in 1991, and will complete 30 years next year. In Mongolian universities, Korean literature education has been designated as a mandatory course for effective and high-level Korean language education; however, in reality it faces a number of challenges. A case study was conducted to investigate and analyze the perception and satisfaction of Korean literature education through questionnaires and interviews, for those who had completed Korean language courses in Mongolia. According to the results, the learning experience for Korean literature had a low satisfaction level, but the desire and willingness to read Korean literature in the future was high; in fact, the latter received the highest score among all survey items. Demographic factors were found to affect the satisfaction of Korean literature learning experience. Women’s level of satisfaction for learning Korean literature was higher than that of men. By age, satisfaction was high for those over 40 years old, and lowest for those aged below 20. The Mongolian people learn everyday Korean language through Korean dramas, movies, and entertainment programs, which can be a great help in conducting basic daily conversations; however, understanding in-depth Korean literary works or research on abstract subjects requires a much higher level of proficiency in the language. Therefore, it can be concluded that Korean literature education is essential in advanced Korean language study, in order to equip students with a high level of language proficiency and comprehension. The results of this study can be used as basic data to formulate policies for Korean literature education in Mongolia.
