유치원 전문적학습공동체의 운영 특성에 대한 교사의 인식 분석

국문 초록

최근 ‘전문적학습공동체로서의 학교’가 교사학습과 학교변화에 있어서 필요하다는 인식에 따라, 유치원에서도 전문적학습공동체에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이 연구는 유치원 전문적학습공동체의 운영 특성에 대한 교사의 인식을 살펴보고자 개인 특성과 조직 특성에 따른 인식 차이를 분석하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 유치원 전문적학습공동체의 운영 특성을 측정하는 조사 도구를 제작하고, 2019년 2월부터 3월까지 3학급 이상의 A지역 사립유치원과 B지역 공립유치원 교사 278명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유치원교사가 인식하는 전문적학습공동체의 운영 특성 인식은 유아의 성장과 학습증진, 협력 문화, 집단 탐구, 실천과 지속적 개선 요인에서 모두 긍정적으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사의 개인 특성에 따른 인식은, ‘유아의 성장과 학습증진’ 요인에서 유치원 고경력 교사와 현재 유치원에 장기 근무한 교사가, 석사 졸업 이상 교사가 ‘집단 탐구’ 요인에서 상대적으로 높은 인식을 보였다. 셋째, 교사의 조직 특성에 따른 인식은, 공립 유치원교사와 7~9학급의 유치원교사가 모든 영역에서 긍정적인 인식을 보여주었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Recently, in the kindergarten, there is a growing interest in professional learning communities as the school recognizes that ‘school as a professional learning community’ is necessary for teacher learning and school change. The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions of public and private teachers on the operational characteristics of kindergarten professional learning community. In order to achieve this purpose, a survey tool was developed to measure the operational characteristics of kindergarten professional learning community. A survey was conducted. The major findings are as follows. First, the recognition of the operating characteristics of the professional learning community recognized by kindergarten teachers was positive in terms of the growth and learning of children, cooperative culture, group inquiry, practice and continuous improvement. Second, the perception of teachers according to their personal characteristics was relatively high in group exploration by teachers of highly experienced teachers and teachers who have been working for a long time in kindergarten and teachers of master s degree or above. Third, perceptions of organizational characteristics of teachers showed that public kindergarten teachers and teachers who works at a medium-sized kindergarten showed positive perception in all areas. Based on these findings, discussions and suggestions were made.
