국문 초록

본 연구는 대학입학전형 유형과 대학 신입생의 공교육 및 사교육 경험 변인이 어떠한 관계를 가지는지에 대해서 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이러한 연구목적에 따라, 첫째, 대학입학전형과 사교육간의 관계를 살펴보았으며, 둘째, 대학입학전형에 따른 고교 재학 중 공교육 경험 및 만족도, 마지막으로 대학입학전형별 사교육 경험, 필요성 및 만족도 간의 차이를 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 부산광역시 소재 4년제 A대학교 2016학년도 신입생 중 1,151명과 2017학년도 신입생 중 982명이었으며, 설문조사를 통해 회수된 자료를 토대로 비교·분석하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, A대학교 2016학년도 및 2017학년도 신입생은 고교 재학 중 참여한 공교육 활동에 대해 비교적 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 2016학년도 및 2017년도 수시전형 신입생들은 모두 공교육 중 진로진학 서비스에 대한 만족도가 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 입학년도와 관계없이 사교육은 대학진학에 효과가 있으며, 특히 수학능력중심전형(정시)에서는 더욱 그러하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 입학년도와 관계없이 응답자의 80%이상이 고교 재학 중 사교육(유형, 비용, 시간 등)을 경험한 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 다양한 입학전형을 공교육의 테두리에서 충분히 준비할 수 있도록 적합한 프로그램이 다양하게 개발 및 보급될 필요가 있으며, 학생 및 학부모의 사교육 의존도를 줄여나가기 위해서 다양한 제도적 장치가 마련되어야 할 것임을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the types of college admissions and the changes in the experiences of public education and private experiences of college freshmen. For the purpose of this study, first, we explored the relationships between college admission and private education, and secondly, we investigated the differences between the experiences and satisfaction of public education in high school according to college admission types, and finally private education experience by college admission types, necessity and satisfaction levels. The subject were 1,151 out of 2016 freshmen at A University in Busan metropolitan city and 982 out of 2017 freshmen. The collected data were compared and analyzed. The main results of this study were as follow. First, freshmen at A University were found to be relatively satisfied with the public education activities they had participated in while attending high school. Second, freshmen in both 2016 and 2017 were found to be highly satisfied with career development services during public education. Third, it was found that private education, regardless of the entrance school year is effective in advancing to college, especially in the College Scholastic Ability Test (regular admission). Fourth, regardless of the entrance school year, more than 80 percent of the subject private experiences(types, cost, time, and etc.) while attending at high schools. These findings need to be developed and supplied in a variety of suitable programs to ensure that various admission programs are fully prepared at the confines of public education. In addition, various institutional mechanisms will need to be planned to reduce dependence levels of students and parents about private education.
