수학교과인성요인과 수학불안요인과의 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 수학교과인성의 6가지 하위요인과 수학불안의 4가지 하위요인간의 상관관계를 분석한 후, 상관관계가 성립한 요인에 대해서 회귀분석을 통해 인과관계 분석을 하였다. 수학교과인성이란, 수학수업시간에 쉽게 발현되고 함양할 수 있는 인성요인을 뜻하며 크게 개인적 요인(정직, 책임, 용기, 자기이해)과 사회적 요인(소통, 배려)으로 구성된다. 수학불안의 4가지 하위요인은 수학내적요인, 학습자요인, 시험 및 성적요인, 수학외적요인으로 구성된다. 인천 및 경기도 소재 고등학교 1학년 학생 479명(남학생 252명, 여학생 227명)을 대상으로 수학 교과 인성 검사지와 수학 불안 검사지를 사용하여 데이터를 수집한 후, 상관관계 분석은 피어슨 r 계수로, 인과관계분석은 단계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 수학불안요인 중 수학내적요인 및 학습방법요인과 수학교과인성요인 중 책임, 용기, 자기이해 요인 간에 음의 상관관계, 시험 및 성적 요인과 책임, 자기이해 요인 간에 음의 상관관계, 수학외적요인과 자기이해 요인 간에는 음의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 상관관계를 나타내는 두 개의 변인을 각각 독립변인과 종속변인으로 설정한 후 단계적 회귀분석을 한 결과 수학교과인성지수 중 자기이해요인에 따라 수학불안요인지수에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났으며, 수학불안요인 중 수학내적요인에 따라 책임요인이, 학습방법요인에 따라 용기요인이, 수학내적요인, 수학외적요인, 학습방법요인에 따라 자기이해요인에 유의미한 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 수학교과인성함양프로그램 및 수학불안감소프로그램이 불안감소와 인성함양에 모두 효과가 있을 것이라는 이론적 기반을 제공해 줄 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the correlation between six subfactors of charater factors in mathematics and four subfactors of mathematics anxiety, and then analyzed the causal relationship through the regression analysis. The character factors for the school mathematics refers to character factors that can be easily expressed and nurtured during the math class. It consists of personal factors (honesty, responsibility, courage, self-understanding) and social factors (communication, consideration). The four sub-factors of mathematic anxiety consist of Nature of Mathematics, Learning Strategy, Test/Performance, and Environment. Data were collected from 479 first grade high school students (252 males and 227 females) in Incheon and Gyeonggi-do using a character scale for the school mathematics(CSSM) and a math anxiety test. As a result of the analysis, there was a negative correlation between chracter factors in school mathematics and mathematic anxiety factors. As a result of the stepwise regression analysis, it was found that the self-interest factors had a statistically significant effect on the mathematical anxiety factors. Responsibility factors in accordance with nature of mathematics factors, and courageous factors in accordance with learning strategy factors, have significant effects on self-understanding factors according to nature of mathematics factors, environment factors, and learning strategy factors. This may provide a theoretical basis that character factors in the school mathematics development programs and math anxiety programs will be effective in reducing anxiety and character development.
