청소년의 공동체의식이 다문화수용성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 우리나라 청소년의 공동체의식과 다문화수용성과의 관계에서 삶의 만족도의 매개효과를 검증하는데 주된 목적이있다. 방법 연구문제를 탐색하기 위하여 ‘Z세대 10대 청소년의 가치관 변화 연구 데이터’를 활용하였으며, 본 연구의 최종분석 대상은청소년 5,636명이다. 공동체의식, 삶의 만족도, 사회참여 의사표명 여부, 다문화수용성 간의 관계를 SPSS 26과 PRROCESS macro 4.2를 활용하여 기술통계, 상관분석 등의 분석을 수행하였다. 결과 분석결과를 요약하면, 먼저, 통계적으로 유의미하게 공동체의식이 직접적으로 다문화수용성에 영향을 끼치며, 공동체의식이 삶의 만족도를 매개로 하여 다문화수용성에 간접적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 다음으로 공동체의식이 삶의 만족도를 통해 다문화수용성에 미치는 간접적 영향이 사회참여 의견표명 여부에 의해 통계적으로 유의미하게 조절되었다. 그리고 공동체의식이 삶의 만족도를 통해서 다문화수용성에 끼치는 매개효과는 사회참여 의견표명을 한 그룹이 사회참여 의견표명을 하지 않은 그룹에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 결론 본 연구의 결과를 기초로 하여 청소년의 다문화수용성 제고를 위한 방안과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The main purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of life satisfaction in the relationship between sense of community and multicultural acceptance of Korean adolescents. Methods To explore the research questions, data from the ‘generation Z teenagers' values change research data’ were utilized, with a final analysis sample of 5,636 adolescents. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and other analyses were conducted using SPSS 26 and PROCESS macro 4.2 to examine the relationships between sense of community, life satisfaction, willingness to participate in society, and multicultural acceptance. Results In summary of the analysis results, firstly, statistically significant, sense of community had a direct influence on multicultural acceptance, and it indirectly influenced multicultural acceptance through life satisfaction as a mediator. Secondly, the indirect effect of sense of community on multicultural acceptance through life satisfaction was statistically significantly moderated by the willingness to express opinions on social participation. Additionally, the mediating effect of sense of communityon multicultural acceptance through life satisfaction was higher in the group willing to express opinions on social participation compared to the group not willing to express opinions. Conclusions Based on the findings of this study, recommendations for enhancing multicultural acceptance among adolescents and suggestions for further research were provided.
