몬테소리 학습자관의 학생 주도성에 대한 함의

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 몬테소리 학습자관의 특성을 분석하고 이것이 학생 주도성에 주는 함의를 탐색하였다. 방법 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 문헌연구를 진행하였다. 1차로 몬테소리 교육이론, 몬테소리 학교 교육과정 및 협회 자료를 수집하여 몬테소리 학습자관 및 그 특징을 도출하였다. 2차로 학생 주도성 관련 문헌을 수집하고 학생 주도성의개념 및 의미를 탐색하였으며, 학생 주도성과 몬테소리 교육의 교육적 관련성을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 몬테소리 교육이 지향하는학습자에 대한 관점을 토대로 몬테소리 학습자관이 학생 주도성에 나타내는 의의를 도출하였다. 결과 분석결과 몬테소리 교육은 첫쩨, 주도적인 학습자를 키우기 위해 학생의 자발성을 증진하도록 보호자와 관찰자, 환경 조성자로서의 교사의 역할을 중시한다. 둘째, 몬테소리에서는 그릿이 있는 학습자를 키우기 위해 학습자의 실수를 기꺼이 허용하고 배우는과정에 중점을 두는 과정중심평가를 시행한다. 셋째, 몬테소리 교육은 주도적이되 사회적 책임을 다하는 학습자를 중요시한다. 그리고 공동체에 대한 책임감은 학교와 학부모과 연대를 이루어 교육의 관점에서 동반자 관계를 이룰 때 가능하다고 보기 때문에 학부모의 교육참여를 독려한다. 결론 결론을 통해 몬테소리 교육의 시사점과 제한점 그리고 교육 현장에서 학생 주도성을 신장하기 위한 교육에 적용할 수 있는 실질적 방안에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study analyzes the characteristics of perspective on learners in Montessori education and explores its implications for student agency. Methods To achieve this research objective, literature research was conducted in this study. First, Montessori education theory, Montessori school curriculum, and association data were collected to derive the characteristics of perspective on learners in Montessori education. Second, we collected literature related to student agency, explored the concept and meaning of student agency, and analyzed the educational relevance of student agency and Montessori education. Finally, based on the perspective on the learner that Montessori education aims for, the significance of the Montessori learner's perspective on student agency was derived. Results The analysis results show that Montessori education, first, emphasizes the role of teachers as protectors, observers, and creators of the environment to enhance student agency, aiming to nurture proactive learners. Second, Montessori encourages the development of learners with grit by willingly allowing mistakes and focusing on process-oriented assessment that prioritizes the learning process. Third, Montessori education values learners who are self-driven yet socially responsible. It believes that a sense of responsibility towards the community can be achieved through a partnership in education between the school and parents, thus encouraging parental involvement in education. Conclusions The conclusion presents the implications and limitations of Montessori education, as well as practical recommendations for applying it to enhance student agency in educational settings.
