다문화청소년의 학교생활적응의 결정요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 다문화청소년의 문화적응스트레스가 학교생활적응에 미치는 결정요인을 살펴보고, 사회적지지와 사회적 위축의 매개효과를 중심으로 이들 간의 영향 관계를 분석하였다. 방법 다문화청소년 4차자료(2014) 패널인 중학교 1학년을 대상으로 총 1,380명을 조사하였다. 또한, 다문화청소년의 학교생활 결정요인의 확인적 요인분석을 통해 타당성 검토하였으며, 구조방정식 분석을 위해 인과관계와 적합성 및 직접, 간접효과를 검증하였다. 결과 다문화청소년의 학교생활적응, 문화적응스트레스, 사회적지지, 사회적위측 간에는 유의한 상관관계가 나타났다. 주요 결과에 따르면, 문화적응스트레스는 학교생활적응에 직간접적 영향을 미치며, 사회적지지와 사회적위축을 통해 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구의 실천적 함의는 다문화청소년의 학교생활적응에 중요한 진로장벽을 낮추기 위한 사회적지지 체계에 대한 지원책을 마련해야 하고, 다문화청소년의 사회적위축 요인을 고려한 생애주기별 상담 프로그램과 통합사례관리가 요구되며, 다문화청소년의 의미있는 타자로서의 사회적 자원에 대한 역량 강화 교육 기회의 제공을 통해 학교생활적응 수준을 높이는 방안을 마련해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to examine the determinants of cultural stress of multicultural youth on school life adaptation, and to improve the adaptation of multicultural youth to school life, focusing on the mediating effect of social support and social contraction. Methods A total of 1,380 people were surveyed for the first year of middle school, a panel of the 4th data (2014). In addition, the validity was reviewed through confirmatory factor analysis of the determinants of school life of multicultural adolescents, and causal relationships, suitability, and direct and indirect effects were verified for structural equation analysis. Results There was a significant correlation between school life adaptation, cultural adaptation stress, social support, and social upper measurement of multicultural adolescents. According to the main results, it was found that cultural adaptation stress had a direct or indirect effect on school life adaptation and had an indirect effect through social support and social contraction. Conclusions The practical implications of this study are to prepare support measures for the social support system to lower important career barriers for multicultural youth, to provide life-cycle counseling programs and integrated case management considering social contraction factors, and to raise the level of school life adaptation by providing educational opportunities for multicultural youth.
