효과적인 예비상담자 다문화상담 교육방안을 위한 질적연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 다문화 시대에 유능한 상담자를 배출하기 위해, 예비상담자들의 다문화 능력을 배양할 수 있는 효과적인 다문화상담 교육방안에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 대학원 다문화상담 수업 경험을 가진 상담전문가 6명에게 그들이 생각하는 효과적인 다문화상담 교육방안을 위한 고려사항에 대해 질문하였다. 이러한 연구 참여자들에게 실시한 인터뷰 결과를 전사하여 합의적 질적 분석(CQR) 방법으로 분석하여 정리하였다. 결과 연구 결과, 효과적인 다문화상담 수업을 위해 고려해야 할 교육방안은 크게 수업내용과 수업전략 부분으로 나누어졌으며, 수업내용으로는 다문화의 정의, 다문화 관련 주제를 포함한 다문화에 대한 이해, 자기이해, 저항과 관련한 문제들이 다루어 져야 한다고 하였고, 수업전략 측면으로 개별접근 목표설정 방법, 다양한 수업 활동들, 그리고 자기평가를 통한 효과적인 수업평가 방안들이 보고되었다. 결론 상담교육자로서 예비상담자들의 다문화 역량 증진을 돕고, 다양한 상담활동 촉진하기 위한 다문화상담 교육방안에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to contribute to an emerging body of literature on how to educate multicultural counseling courses more effectively, and how to promote multicultural competencies of counselor trainees. Methods For this aim, 6 counseling professionals were interviewed and the data were analyzed to understand their perception and strategies regarding educating multicultural counseling courses. We used Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR) to analyzed the data. Results As results, course contents were developed including definitions and topics of multicultural counseling, self-understanding, and issues of resistance and microagressions. In addition, course strategies were also reported including effective individual goal setting, diverse course activities, and useful course evaluation plan which is self-evaluation. Conclusions The study provides strategies to enhance multicultural competences of counselor educators and with implications for multicultural counselors training.
