간호대학생의 COVID-19 감염관리 지식과 교육요구도

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 간호대학생의 COVID-19 감염관리 지식 및 교육요구도를 파악하여 COVID-19 감염관리 교육프로그램 개발 시 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 방법 대구경북 및 전라권에 소재한 2개의 간호대학에 재학 중인 학생 218명을 대상으로 2020년 12월 8일에서 31일까지 시행된 서술적 조사연구로 SPSS/WIN 25.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술적 통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient로 분석하였다. 결과 간호대학생의 COVID-19 감염관리 지식수준은 ‘개인보호구 탈착용’, ‘의료폐기물 관리’, ‘전파경로 및 확산 예방’ ‘질환의 특성’ ‘대응방안’, ‘치료방법’ 순이었으며 ‘병실환경 관리, 청소 및 소독’이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 간호대학생의 COVID-19 감염관리 교육요구도는 ‘개인위생’, ‘전파경로 및 확산예방’, ‘대응방안’, ‘개인보호구 탈착용’, ‘환경관리’ 순이었다. COVID-19 감염관리 지식과 교육요구도간의 상관관계는 매우 낮은 수준으로 나타났다. 결론 간호대학생들이 임상 실습 시 감염상황에 잘 대처할 수 있도록 COVID-19 감염관리에 대한 구체적이고 전문적인 지식을 제공할 수 있어야 할 것이며 교육요구도가 높은 교육내용을 중심으로 구성된 맞춤형 교육프로그램이 제공되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives We conducted this study to identify the knowledge and educational needs for nursing college students for the management of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection and provide basic data for developing education programs on infection control. Methods The data collected from 218 nursing students between December 8 and 31, 2020, data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 25.0 program to calculate frequency, average, and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient. Results As per the knowledge of nursing students on COVID-19 infection control, ‘wearing and taking off personal protective gear’ ranked the highest, and “management of hospital room environment, cleaning, and disinfection” ranked the lowest. The average score of COVID-19 infection control educational needs of nursing students was the highest, followed by ‘personal hygiene’ ‘prevention of infection path and spread’ ‘response guidelines’ and ‘wearing and taking off personal protective gear’. There was a very low correlation between COVID-19 infection control knowledge and educational needs. Conclusions To cope with infectious diseases in clinical practice, specific and professional knowledge on COVID-19 infection control should be provided to nursing students, and customized education programs should be introduced, focusing on educational content that meets high educational needs.
