영화 리뷰에 나타난 수용자 시각 분석과 고전문학교육에의 함의

국문 초록

목적 이 연구는 고전서사를 원천 소재로 한 영상 매체를 경험한 오늘날 대중들의 인식과 태도, 시각 등을 심층적으로 이해하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이는 고전문학의 매체 전환과 콘텐츠 개발 과정, 고전문학 연구 및 고전문학교육 연구 등에서 ‘생산’의 측면과 더불어 ‘수용’의 측면이 적극적으로 고려되어야 함을 강조하고자 하는 것이다. 방법 질적 내용 분석(qualitative content analysis)의 방법으로 영화 <신과 함께-죄와 벌>의 리뷰를 분석하였다. 국내 CAQDAS로 개발된 ‘파랑새 2.0’은 리뷰를 분석하는 단계에 따라 추출되는 구체적인 코드 및 범주 내용을 시각적으로 보여주고, 주제가 도출되는 과정을 명확히 드러내는 데 도움을 주었다. 결과 고전문학을 기반으로 한 새로운 매체의 생산은 대중들에게 고전문학을 친숙하게 여기게 하거나 긍정적인 인식을 심어주는 데까지 나아가지는 못했다. 고전문학이 매체 전환의 방식으로 다시 ‘읽히게’ 된 것은 긍정적이지만, 원천 소재에 대한 기본적인 이해가 긴요하다. 결론 고전문학의 매체 전환을 위해서는 원천 소재에 내재되어 있는 본질적이고 보편적인 가치를 탐구해야 한다. 또한 고전문학교육 역시 당대의 고전이나 정전의 관점에서 벗어나 대중적⋅통속적 시각으로 살펴보려는 시도가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives I would like to in-depth understand the perceptions, attitudes, and perspectives of today's public who have experienced video media based on classical narratives. This is to emphasize that the aspect of ‘reception’ as well as the aspect of ‘production’ should be actively considered in the media conversion of classical literature in the content development process, the study of classical literature and the study of classical technical education. Methods The review of the movie “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds” was analyzed by the method of qualitative content analysis. ‘Blue Bird 2.0’, developed as a domestic CAQDAS, visually showed the specific codes and categories extracted according to the review analysis stage, and helped to clearly reveal the process of deriving the topic. Results The production of a new medium based on classical literature did not go as far as making the public familiar with classical literature or instilling a positive perception. It is positive that classical literature has been “read” again as a method of media conversion, but a basic understanding of the source material is essential. Conclusions In order to transform the medium of classical literature, it is necessary to explore the essential and universal value inherent in the source material. In addition, it is necessary to try to look at classical literature education from a popular and popular perspective, away from the perspective of contemporary classics or canon.
