대학교육의 질관리를 위한 학습지원 프로그램 운영 현황과 과제

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 국내 대학에서 운영하고 있는 학습지원 프로그램 현황을 파악하고, 그 결과를 토대로 대학의 학습지원 프로그램 운영 방안을 살펴보고, 효과적 프로그램 운영을 위한 과제를 모색하였다. 방법 본 연구는 사례 조사연구로 국내 4년제 대학 교수학습센터에서 운영하고 있는 학습지원 프로그램 현황을 파악하기 위해 2020년 12월 각 학교 홈페이지 자료를 기준으로 자료를 수집하고, 그 결과를 토대로 대학에서 운영 중인 학습지원 프로그램을 분석하였다. 결과 그 결과 각 대학에서 운영 중인 학습지원 프로그램은 총 5가지 특징이 나타났다. 신입생 대상 프로그램, 학사경고자, 학습부진아 학습관리를 위한 학습동아리, 1-2학년대상 학업증진 프로그램, 학사경고자, 학습부진아 동기부여 지원, 우수학생 관리 및 우수사례 확산 프로그램으로 운영한 것을 볼 수 있다. 결론 본 연구는 대학의 질관리를 위한 학습지원 프로그램을 살펴보고 그 결과를 토대로 향후 과제를 도출하였다. 첫째, 프로그램 설계의 체계화, 둘째, 학생 맞춤형 홍보 서비스, 셋째, 학습지원 시스템 활용 및 구축이다. 본 연구는 국내일부 대학만의 사례를 중심으로 이루어졌으므로 다음과 같은 후속 연구가 되어야 할 것이다. 첫째, 교과와 연계된 학습지원 프로그램 설계를 위해 국내대학에서 운영 중인 교과로 구성된 학습지원 프로그램에 대한 구체적인 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있다. 둘째, 학교 대내적인 환경이 고려된 학습지원 프로그램 설계 및 체계 연구가 이루어져야 할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 학습지원 프로그램 참여를 통한 학습 효과에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study examined the current status of learning support programs of domestic universities, and then identified the tasks necessary for operating such programs more effectively in the future. Methods This study is a case study. In order to understand the current status of learning support programs operated by the Korean 4-year university center for teaching and learning, data were collected based on the data of each school’s website in December 2020, and based on the results, the current status of learning support programs offered by universities were analyzed. Results The results showed five characteristics of each university’s programs: programs for freshmen, students on academic probation, and students falling behind; academic promotion programs for freshmen and sophomores; support to motivate students falling behind; management of high-performing students; and dissemination of successful cases. Conclusions Accordingly, the following future tasks have been identified: (1) systemization of programs; (2) customized promotion services for students; and (3) building and usage of learning support programs. Since this study focused on the case of only some universities, follow-up studies are needed. First, further research on learning support programs based on courses offered at domestic universities is needed to create learning programs linked to the curriculum. Second, such programs should be designed and systemic research conducted by taking the school’s internal environment into account. Third, research on learning effects through participation in such programs should also be carried out.
