대학 교직과목 수업에서 예비보건교사의 생성형 AI 활용 방식 탐색

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 예비보건교사들이 대학의 교직 수업에서 생성형 AI를 활용하는 방식을 탐색하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 방법 연구자료로 교직 수업 ｢교육사회｣를 수강한 17명의 예비보건교사들이 한 학기 동안 생성형 AI의 학습에의 활용에 대해 작성한 매주 로그와 과제를 수집하였으며, 수업 중에 이들이 본인의 경험을 바탕으로 한 생성형 AI의 교육적 활용에 관한 발표와 논의 역시 관찰되고 기록되었다. 수집한 자료는 N-vivo를 활용하여 단계별 절차를 밟아 분석하였다. 결과 본 연구에 참여한 예비보건교사들은 수업 내용을 이해하고 심화학습하는 데에 생성형 AI를 활용하였으며, 생성형 AI와 대화 및 토론 등을 통해 본인의 생각을 확장할 수 있었다. 또한, 이들은 생성형 AI의 도움을 받아 글쓰기 능력을 향상시켰으며 자료를 탐색하는 데에도 생성형 AI를 적극적으로 활용하였다. 결론 생성형 AI는 대학 수업에서 시공간의 제약없는 개별 맞춤형 질문을 가능케 하는 도구, 수업 내용에 대한 심도있는 대화와 쟁점에 관한 토론의 상대, 글쓰기 과외교사, 자료 탐색 도구로서 활용될 수 있다. 또한, 예비보건교사들은 실제로 본인의 학습에 생성형 AI를 적극적으로 활용해보는 과정을 통해 생성형 AI 활용 역량을 함양했을 뿐 아니라 생성형 AI의 한계점과 사용시 유의할 점 역시 체험을 통해 배우게 되었다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to explore how pre-service health teachers had engaged with Generative AI for their learning at the course of Educational Sociology in the Teacher Preparation program. Methods The author collected the weekly logs and assignments conducted by 17 pre-service health teachers enrolled in the course “Educational Sociology” about their uses of generative AI for learning throughout the semester. Additionally, the study includes observations and recordings of their presentations and discussions on the uses of generative AI based on their learning experiences during the course. The collected data were analyzed using a step-by-step procedure with N-vivo. Results The pre-service health teachers in this course engaged with generative AI to comprehend and deepen their understanding of the learning material. Through conversations and discussions with generative AI, they were able to expand their thoughts on the subject matter. Additionally, the pre-service health teachers improved their writing skills with the assistance of generative AI and actively employed it for exploring resources. Conclusions In university teacher training courses, generative AI can be utilized as a tool for personalized questions without the constraints of time and space, a counterpart for in-depth conversations about course content and discussions on issues, a writing tutor, and a resource exploration tool. Furthermore, this study proposes strategies for enhancing pre-service teachers' competencies in adopting generative AI. Through actively engaging with generative AI in their own learning processes, they not only developed their abilities to use generative AI but also reflected on the possibilities and limitations they should possess as future teachers.
