간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향과 임상수행능력과의 관계에서 돌봄 인성의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향과 임상수행능력과의 관계에 대한 돌봄 인성의 매개효과를 파악하기 위해 시행되었다. 방법 연구대상자는 C와 D도시에 소재하고 있는 3개 대학의 간호학과 3, 4학년 학생 중 한 학기 이상 임상실습 경험이 있는 192명이었으며, 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS 20.0 프로그램의 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석 및 Sobel test를 이용하였다. 결과 연구결과 비판적 사고성향과 돌봄 인성 간의 양의 상관관계(r=.75, p<.001)와 돌봄 인성과 임상수행능력 간의 양의 상관관계가 확인되었다(r=.76, p<.001). 간호대학생의 비판적 사고성향은 임상수행능력에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며(β=.75, p<.001), 설명력은 57.2%이었다. 돌봄 인성 투입시 비판적 사고성향의 임상수행능력에 대한 효과가 감소하여(β=.75⟶.45) 비판적 사고성향이 임상수행능력에 미치는 영향에서 돌봄 인성이 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다(Z=6.57, p<.001). 결론 이러한 결과는 전문직 실무를 수행하는 데 필수적으로 요구되는 임상수행능력을 높이기 위해 비판적 사고성향과 돌봄 인성을 강화하는 교육이 필요함을 보여준다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 간호 실무 역량 향상을 위한 교육과정과 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용할 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was done to identify the mediating effect of caring-character on the relationship between critical thinking disposition and clinical competence in nursing students. Methods The subjects of the study were 192, 3rd and 4rd grade nursing students from three universities located in cities C and D who had at least one semester of clinical practice experience. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and Sobel test in the SPSS 20.0 program. Results The results of the study showed a positive correlation between critical thinking disposition and caring-character (r=.75, p<.001). and a positive correlation between caring-character and clinical competence were confirmed (r=.76, p<.001). The critical thinking disposition of nursing students significantly affected clinical competence (β=.75, p<.001), and the explanatory power was 57.2%. When caring-character was added, the effect of critical thinking disposition on clinical competence decreased (β=.75→.45), showing that caring-character had a partial mediating effect on the effect of critical thinking disposition on clinical competence (Z=6.57, p<.001). Conclusions These results suggest that education that strengthens critical thinking disposition and caring-character is necessary to improve clinical competence, which is essential for performing professional practice. Therefore, the results of this study are suggested to be used as basic data for developing educational courses and educational programs to improve nursing practice competency.
