가족지지와 대인관계가 대학생의 자아정체감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 가족지지를 기반한 대인관계와 자아정체감 간의 관계를 구명하였다. 자료수집은 대학교 1. 2학년 남녀 대학생 336명을 대상으로 설문조사 방법으로 수행하였다. 수집 자료는 공개 통계프로그램인 Jamovi를 사용하여 전반적인 특성과 신뢰도를 기술통계량과 Cronbach’ α값으로 분석하였으며, 척도 간의 관계는 상관분석, 가족지지와 대인관계, 자아정체감 간의 직접효과와 간접효과, 매개율을 추정하였다. 가족지지와 자아정체감, 가족지지와 대인관계 간의 관계에서 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 가족지지와 자아정체감의 관계에서 대인관계가 완전매개를, 가족지지와 대인관계의 관계에서는 자아정체감이 부분매개를 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 가족지지와 자아정체감 간의 관계에서 대인관계의 매개율은 남학생보다 여학생 높았으나, 가족지지와 대인관계 간의 관계에서 자아정체감의 매개율은 남학생이 여학생보다 더 높았다. 척도간 경로추정 결과 남녀 대학생의 자아정체감 수준을 높이기 위해서는 대인관계를 향상하는 것이 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 대학 1, 2학년생의 바람직한 자아정체감을 형성하기 위해서는 대학교에서인성교육이 진로와 취업에 앞서 진행되어야 하며, 대인관계에 중점을 둔 미래역량 강화 교육이필요하다고 여겨진다. 따라서 학업성취와 진로의사결정 및 진로선택의 과정에 있는 1, 2학년 대학생을 대상으로 하는 대인관계를 매개로 한 자아정체감 확립과 성장을 위한 교육 프로그램 개발및 상담을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study administered a questionnaire to 336 freshmen and sophomore students at four universities to examine the relationships of personal relations and family support with ego identity. Data were analyzed descriptively and Cronbach’s α was calculated to assess reliability, and the relationships among the scales were analyzed with Jamovi. There were significant positive correlations among family support, personal relations and ego identity, and perfect mediation by personal relations was found between family support and ego identity and partial mediation by ego identity between famity support and personal relations. The mediation of personal relations was higher in male than female students, while the mediation of ego identity was higher in female than male students. Path estimates among the three scales indicate that the personal relations of university students need to be strengthened to increase their ego identity, suggesting that personality education of university students should precede career education and job training in order to construct a desirable ego identity as well as the education for future capabilities focused on personal relations. We suggest the development of an education and counselling program to promote ego identity formation and growth in university students facing the needs of academic achievement and career decisions.
