국문 초록

본 연구는 중국인 학부 유학생이 복합 양식 텍스트인 챌린지 영상을 이해하는 양상을 분석하여이를 기반으로 복합 양식 텍스트 교육의 설계 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 복합 양식텍스트는 한 텍스트 안에 문자, 음성, 영상, 이미지 등 다양한 형태의 기호가 복합적으로 결합되어의미 구성을 이룬 텍스트를 말하며, 소통성·기호성·영상성을 특징으로 한다. 중국인 학부 유학생은 챌린지 영상의 정보 확인을 통해서 주제를 이해하였으며 내용 파악을통해 가치를 평가하고 개인적·사회적 경험을 반영한 성찰을 하였다. 학습자들은 챌린지 영상의주제를 이해하는 과정에서 자신의 경험과 배경지식의 정도에 따라 다소 다른 양상을 보이기도했으며, 댓글 쓰기를 통해서 개인의 사고와 감정을 가감 없이 표현하였다. 본 연구는 중국인 학부 유학생들이 챌린지 영상 텍스트를 이해하는 양상을 살펴보고 유형화한후, 이를 기반으로 복합 양식 테스트 교육의 설계 방향을 제시한 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the aspects of Chinese undergraduate international students’ understanding of multimodal texts challenge video and to suggest the design direction of multimodal texts education based on this. Multimodal text refers to a text comprised of various forms of symbols including text, voice, video and pictures in a single text and is characterized by communication, symbol and image. Chinese international undergraduates showed integration through verification of information, evaluation through composition of comments, and reflections through personal or social experience. Learners exhibited various patterns in integration through verification of information depending on the level of their own experiences and background knowledge, truthfully expressed their mind and emotion in evaluation through composition of comments. Basing on categorizing the modality of how Chinese international undergraduates understands the challenge video texts, this research is relevant to proposing the direction for the design of multimodal text education.
