국문 초록

본 연구는 음악 활동을 통한 발달장애 학생의 학교생활적응 과정을 탐구하여 음악이 발달장애 학생에게 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 20차시의 즉흥연주 중심 음악 활동 프로그램을 개발하여 학교생활에 어려움을 겪고 있는 발달장애 초등학생 3명을 대상으로 음악 활동을 실시하였다. 그리고 발달장애 학생의 음악수업 및 학교생활의 변화 과정을 친구 및 교사와의 관계, 수업 참여, 규칙 준수의 측면에서 질적으로 분석하였다. 발달장애 학생들은 고립되고 소외되어 불안정한 모습을 보였으나 음악 안에서의 새로운 만남을 통하여 자유롭게 표현하고 표출하며 활발하게 음악적으로 상호작용하게 되었다. 이를 통하여 자아를 재구성하게 되었고, 학교생활이 변화하는 과정을 경험하게 되었다. 결과적으로 발달장애 학생들은 음악 활동을 통하여 친구 및 교사와의 관계를 새롭게 형성하게 되었고, 수업에 보다 적극적으로 참여하게 되었으며, 문제행동이 감소하고 규칙을 잘 지키는 등 학교생활에 보다 잘 적응하게 되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the process of adaptation to school life of students with developmental disabilities through music activities and to identify the influence of music on students with developmental disabilities. In this study, 20 classes of a music activity program centered on improvisation was developed. Music activities were conducted for three elementary school students with developmental disabilities who are having difficulties in school life. And the changing process of music class and school life of students with developmental disabilities in terms of relationship with friends and teachers, participation in classes, and compliance with rules were analyzed qualitatively. Students with developmental disabilities were isolated and showed unstable appearance. But through new encounters in music, they were able to express freely and interact actively musically. They came to reconstruct themselves and experienced the process of changing school life. As a result, students with developmental disabilities adapted better to school life through music activities. They developed new relationships with friends and teachers, participated more actively in classes, decreased problem behavior and obeyed rules.
