평가염려 완벽주의와 시험 불안의 관계에서 수행 회피목표 지향성과 회피-분산적 정서조절양식의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 평가염려 완벽주의와 시험 불안의 관계에서 수행 회피목표 지향성과 회피-분산적 정서조절양식이 나타내는 매개효과와 그 경로를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 수도권 소재 4년제 대학 재학생 456명을 대상으로 2019년 9월 한 달 간 설문을 시행하였다. 주요 변인 간의 상관분석과 구조방정식을 이용한 매개효과분석, 그리고 팬텀 변수를 사용한 매개효과의 유의성 검증이 시행되었으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관분석 결과 평가염려 완벽주의, 수행 회피목표 지향성, 회피-분산적 정서조절양식, 시험 불안 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 매개효과 검증 결과 평가염려 완벽주의가 시험 불안에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 수행 회피목표 지향성과 회피-분산적 정서조절양식이 연속적으로 매개하는 경로와 회피-분산적 정서조절양식의 단순 매개 경로가 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 평가염려 완벽주의와 그로 인한 수행 회피목표 지향성과 회피-분산적 정서조절양식이 차례로 시험 불안에 영향을 준다는 것을 경험적으로 확인한 것이며, 특히 회피-분산적 정서조절양식이 시험 불안을 예언하는 중요한 요인임을 시사한다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 그리고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of the performance-avoidance goal orientation and avoidant-distractive emotion regulation style in the relationship between evaluative concerns perfectionism and test anxiety. The survey was conducted on 456 undergraduate participants for a month in September 2019. Correlation analysis was conducted among the primary variables in this study, and then the mediation models were tested using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), lastly significance of the mediating effect was verified using Phantom variables. In correlation analysis, the four primary variables showed significant positive correlations with each other. And in the SEM analysis, the sequential mediating effect of performance-avoidance goal orientation and avoidant-distractive emotion regulation style in the relationship between evaluative concerns perfectionism and test anxiety was significant. Also, the simple mediating effect of avoidant-distractive emotion regulation style was significant. The implications and limitations of the finding are discussed.
