국문 초록

이상적인 삶과 교육은 도덕이 존재한다는 신념에 입각해 있다. 도덕이 존재하지 않은 삶은 욕망에 내던져진 삶과 다르지 않으며, 도덕을 가정하지 않은 교육은 바로 그 욕망을 지향하는 교육으로 귀착된다. 그러나 도덕은 어디에, 그리고 어떻게 존재하는가? 이러한 질문과 관련하여 가장 주목의 대상이 되는 것은, 도덕이 논리적으로 성립한다는 것을 자신의 철학적 방법을 통하여 여실하게 보여준 Kant의 안목이다. Kant 윤리학은 도덕적 이상태로서의 ‘선의지’를 상정하고 그것을 분석함으로써 도덕이 어떻게 성립하는가를 분명한 형태로 보여주고 있다. 그 분석의 끝에서 마주치는 ‘선험적 자유’는 도덕을 성립시키는 절대적 수준의 아프리오리요, Kant의 이론체계에서의 ‘이념’과 다르지 않다. 그러나 Kant의 철학적 논의방식은 선험적 자유가 교육의 실천과 무관하게 이념이 존재한다는 불필요한 생각을 불러일으킨다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면, 선험적 자유는 교육과 무관하게 존재할 수 있는 것이 아니요, 오히려 교육의 실천을 통해 드러나고 정립되는 것으로 이해될 필요가 있다. 결론적으로 말하여, Kant 윤리학은 인간에게 가장 소중한 것은 무엇이며, 그것이 어떻게 존재하는가를 보여준다. Kant의 안목에 기대어 말하자면, ‘자유’를 지향하는 삶과 교육이야말로 가장 이상적인 삶이요, 가장 이상적인 교육의 모습이다.

영문 초록

Ideal life and education are based on the belief that morality exists. A life without morality is no different from a life thrown away by desire, and an education without moral assumptions results in an education directed at that desire. But where and how does morality exist? The most noteworthy thing about these questions is Kant s insight into the logical establishment of morality through his own philosophical methods. Kant ethics shows in a clear form how morality is established by assuming and analyzing the good will. The Transcendental Freedom at the end of the analysis is no different from the absolute level of a priori, which establishes morality, and the Idee in Kant s theoretical system. Kant s philosophical discussion, however, evokes the unnecessary idea that the Idee exists regardless of the practice of education. According to the results of this study, Transcendental Freedom needs to be understood as being revealed and established through the practice of education, not as being able to exist independently of education. In conclusion, Kant s ethics shows what is most precious to humans and how it exists. According to Kant s insight, life and education toward Freedom are the ideal life and the most ideal education.
