중고령자의 일자리 기대감이 취업여부에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 중고령자의 일자리 기대감과 취업여부의 관계에 있어서 연령의 조절효과를 밝혀내어 이들의취업을 지원할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 분석자료는 5~8차 고령화연구패널조사(KLoSA) 데이터이다. 분석대상은 만 50세부터 74세까지의 중고령자로 총 6,081명을 반복측정한 19,826건이다. 자료분석은 STATA 16.0 통계프로그램을 활용하여 패널로지스틱 분석을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 중고령자의 일자리 기대감은 취업에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 일자리 기대감과 취업여부의관계에서 연령은 조절효과가 있었다. 65세 미만 집단과 65세 이상 집단 모두 일자리 기대감이 높을수록 일을 하게 될 가능성이 높아졌으나 65세 이상 집단에서 그 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 중고령자의 취업지원을 위한 실천척, 정책적 제언을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out the moderating effect of age in the relationship between job expectations and whether employed of middle-aged and elderly people to support their employment. Data from the 5th~8th Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging(KLoSA) were analyzed. The subjects of the study were 19,826 cases of repeated measurement of a total of 6,081 middle-aged and elderly people between the ages of 50 and 74 years. For data analysis, panel logistic analysis was performed using the STATA 16.0 statistical program. The results of the study were as follows. First, middle-aged and elderly people's job expectations had positive effects on their employment. Second, age had a moderating effect on the relationship between job expectations and whether employed. In both the under 65 years and 65 years or older groups, the higher the job expectation, the higher the likelihood of getting a job, but the effect was shown to be greater in the 65 years or older group. Our finding suggested the practical and political implications to support employment of middle-aged and elderly people.
