국문 초록

이 연구는 한국어교육과 지역문화와의 융합교육의 필요성을 역설하며 융합교육의 방안을 모색하는 데목적이 있다. 이에 문헌 연구를 기반으로 그간 한국어교육에서 시도된 지역문화 관련 연구와 교과 교육에서 이루어진 융합교육에 대한 논의를 검토하여 융합교육의 개념 및 현황, 시사점을 분석하였다. 이를바탕으로 지역 사회의 인재로 양성될 주요 자원으로서 지역에 대한 이해가 요구되는 다문화가정 청소년을 대상으로 융합교육을 제안하였는데, 광주 지역의 대표적인 지역문화로서 교육적 가치가 높은 5.18 민주화 운동을 주제로 수업 현장에서 적용 가능한 수업 모형을 예시로 제시하였다. 향후 다문화가정 청소년들에게 한국문화에 대한 지식만을 전수하는 것이 아니라, 학습자 스스로 문화적 경험을 통해 자국의 문화와 비교하여 지역문화의 독자성과 개성을 향유할 수 있는 융합교육을 활발히 시도해야 한다. 즉, 학습자가 다른 문화의 틀에서 서로의 문화를 비교하는 과정을 통해 통찰을 얻을 수 있도록 교육내용과 방법을 실제 생활하는 지역의 문화와 연계하여 진정한 문화 학습을 탐색해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore new ways of convergence education, emphasizing the need for convergence education with the field of Korean language education and local culture. Based on literature research, the concept, current status, and implications of convergence education were analyzed by reviewing regional cultural studies and discussions on convergence education conducted in subject education. Based on this, convergence education was proposed for multicultural family youth who need to understand the region as a major resource to be nurtured as local talent. As a representative local culture in Gwangju, a class model applicable in the actual classroom was presented. In the future, it is necessary not only to teach multicultural family youth knowledge of Korean culture, but also to actively try convergence education so that learners can enjoy the uniqueness and individuality of local culture compared to their own culture through cultural experiences. In other words, true cultural learning should be explored by linking educational contents and methods with the culture of the region where they actually live so that learners can gain insight through the process of comparing each other's cultures in different cultural frameworks.
