미래형교육과정 시범운영 J유치원 교사들의 디지털 역량 변화와 성장 과정 탐색

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 교육부 선정 미래형교육과정 시범유치원 운영 중인 J유치원 교사들의 디지털 역량 변화와 성장의 과정을 탐색해보고자 하였다. 방법 연구를 위하여 미래형교육과정 운영에 참여하고 있는 인천광역시 J유치원 교사 9인을 대상으로 2회씩 심층면담을 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 연구문제에 따라 주제별로 요약 및 부호화, 하위범주화 및 범주의 조정, 유목화 및 위계화, 상위범주도출의 단계를 거친 후 전문가 검토, 내부자 검증 등의 과정을 수행하였다. 결과 첫째, 미래형교육과정 운영 초기에 교사들은 디지털매체 활용 교육이 기존의 교육적 신념과 충돌하면서 우려와 갈등도 있었지만, 시대적 흐름과 요구에 따라 미래사회 준비를 위해 필요한 교육과정임을 인식하게 되었다. 둘째, 교사들은 미래형교육과정 운영을 통해 시행착오를 경험하며 유아 놀이 및 배움을 지원하였고, 유아들이 디지털매체를 활용하여 기존의 놀이와 다른 관점, 방법, 속도로 놀이에 접근하고 사고하며 배움의 깊이와 폭을 넓히는 과정을 경험하였다. 셋째, 교사들은 동료교사들과의 소통과 연대를 통해 디지털 역량 격차를 극복하였다. 디지털매체에 익숙한 저 경력 교사는 기술 활용의 측면에서, 고 경력 교사는 놀이 적용 및 지원의 측면에서 소통하며 수평적 구조에서 협업하며 도움을 받았고, 이러한 과정에서 디지털 역량의 변화와 성장을 경험하였다. 결론 J유치원 교사들은 미래형교육과정 운영을 통해 디지털역량이 증진되었으며, 디지털역량을 갖춘 유능한 미래형교사로 계속 도전하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study attempted to explore the process of digital competency change and growth of J kindergarten teachers in operation of a pilot kindergarten for the future curriculum selected by the Ministry of Education. Methods For the study, in-depth interviews were conducted twice for nine J kindergarten teachers in Incheon Metropolitan City who are participating in the operation of the future curriculum. Data analysis was conducted by summarizing and coding, adjusting subcategories and categories, nomadicization and hierarchization, and deriving upper categories according to research problems, followed by expert review and insider verification. Results First, in the early days of the operation of the future curriculum, teachers recognized that digital media use education was a necessary curriculum to prepare for the future society according to the trends and demands of the times. Second, teachers experienced trial and error through the operation of the future curriculum to support infant play and learning, and children used digital media to approach, think, and expand the depth and breadth of learning. Third, teachers overcame the digital competency gap through communication and solidarity with fellow teachers. Low-experienced teachers familiar with digital media communicated in terms of technology use, and high-experienced teachers collaborated in a horizontal structure in terms of play application and support, and experienced changes and growth in digital capabilities in this process. Conclusions J kindergarten teachers improved their digital capabilities through the operation of the future curriculum and tried to continue to challenge them as competent future teachers with digital capabilities.
