보육교사의 감사성향과 직무스트레스의 관계에서 자비의 매개효과 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 보육교사의 감사성향과 직무스트레스의 관계에서 자비가 미치는 효과를 검증하고, 보육교사의 인구사회학적 요인과 직무스트레스의 관계에 대한 파악과 보육교사의 직무스트레스 완화에 도움을 줄 수 있는 방법을 찾는 것에 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위해 전국에 위치한 보육시설에서 근무하는 보육교사 318명을 대상으로 감사성향과 직무스트레스, 자비 검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 jamovi 1.2.27을 사용하여 독립표본 t검증과 일원배치분산분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하였으며, 상관관계 검증과 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 연구결과, 보육교사의 인구사회학적 특성인 근무 기관 유형, 담당 영유아의 연령, 담당 영유아의 수, 근무경력, 보육교직원의수, 휴게 시간 사용 정도, 일일 평균 근무시간, 메이트 교사의 여부에 따라 직무스트레스 정도의 차이가 나타났다. 다음으로 감사성향과 직무스트레스, 자비의 관계에서 감사성향과 자비는 유의미한 정적상관을 보였고, 직무스트레스는 감사성향과 자비와 유의미한부적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 보육교사의 감사성향과 직무스트레스의 관계에서 자비가 완전매개효과를 가지는것으로 나타났다. 결론 보육교사의 직무스트레스 완화를 위해 어린이집의 환경적 요인에 대한 지원을 확대하고, 감사성향을 통해 자비를 높일 수 있는프로그램을 개발, 적용하는 것이 필요하겠다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the differences of work stress levels depending on preschool teachers’ socio-demographic characteristics as well as the relationships between their gratitude disposition, work stress, and compassion; and to determine whether compassion would mediate the effect of preschool teachers’ gratitude disposition on their work stress. Methods A survey was conducted among 318 preschool teachers in South Korea. The survey questions included socio-demographic items as well as scales to measure preschool teachers’ gratitude disposition, work stress, and compassion. Using jamovi 1.2.27, Independent Samples t-Test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, and bootstrap analysis were performed. Results The results are shown as follows. First, there were differences of preschool teachers’ work stress depending on certain factors of the socio-demographic characteristics including workplace type, age of students, years of child care service, and having a mate teacher. Second, higher levels of preschool teachers’ gratitude dis position have resulted in lower levels of work stress, while higher levels of their compassion have caused lower levels of work stress. In addition, higher levels of gratitude disposition have been related with higher levels of compassion. Finally, complete mediating effect of compassion has been identified on the relationships between gratitude disposition and work stress. Conclusions Preschool teachers should recognize the importance of gratitude and compassion to help relieve their work stress, and accordingly programs for work stress relief integrated with gratitude and compassion should be developed and applied in practice
