국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 한국과 북유럽 3국(노르웨이, 스웨덴, 핀란드)의 교육과정을 기초로 하여 문화예술과의 관련성을 비교 분석하기 위해 수업시간 배분, 성취목표 및 내용 체계, 내용요소들을 세부적으로 분석하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 연구방법: 노르웨이, 스웨덴, 핀란드, 한국의 교육과정 및 기타 공식 문서, 연구보고서 등을 자료로 활용하여 국제표준교육분류체계(ISCED) 단계의 1단계(초등학교)와 2단계(중학교)에서 문화예술이 교육내용으로 활용되는 교과와 수업시간, 교육내용을 비교 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 4개국 공통적으로 문화예술이 활용되는 교과는 국어, 음악, 미술(시각예술 및 공예), 체육 등이었다. 북유럽 3국은 추가적으로 종교교육 및 윤리, 사회, 역사 교과에서도 문화예술을 교육내용으로 활용하였다. 둘째, 4개국 모두 수업시간의 비중에 있어서 국어 교과가 가장 높은 비중을 차지하고, 문학을 통한 교육이 중요한 역할을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, ISCED 1단계에서 4개국에서문화예술을 활용한 교과가 50% 이상을 상회하였으나, 2단계가 되면서 문화예술 관련 교과의 비중이 전반적 줄어들고 있었다. 한편 2단계에서도 북유럽 3국은 문화예술 관련 내용을 약 50.97%~59.76% 수준에서 유지하고 있으나, 한국은 33.39%, 큰 폭으로 감소하였다. 넷째, 교과의 성취목표와 내용을 분석한 결과 4개국이 추구하는 성취목표가 유사하였으며, 문화예술교육에 아동문학, 노래, 이야기, 춤, 미술작품 등이 공통적으로 활용하고 있었으며, 북유럽 3국은 추가적으로 건축, 디지털 도구 등도 강조하고 있었다. 다섯째, 교과에 관련한 문화예술 내용에 있어서, 한국은 예술적인 부분을 강조하고 있으며, 북유럽 3국은 교과 교육 전반적으로 미학적 관점과 더불어 문화적 다양성을 반영하고 있었다. 연구결론: 한국의 초중등 교육과정 구성에 있어서 문화예술교육에 대한 필요성을 이해하고, 향후 교육과정 개선 및 추진을 위해 북유럽 3국의 사례를 참고하여 문화예술교육의 질적 개선 및 교육 주체와 수혜자들에 대한 기여를 도모해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the curricula of Korea and three Norway, Sweden,Finland in detail in terms of class time allocation, achievement goals and content system,and content elements in order to compare and analyze the relevance of cultural arts. Methods: In the first and second stages of the International Standard Classification of Education(ISCED) stage, the curriculum, class hours, and educational contents of culture andart were compared and analyzed using Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, and SouthKorean curriculum and other official documents and research reports as data. Results: First, the four countries commonly incorporated arts and culture into their curricula in thefollowing subjects: national language, music, fine arts (visual arts and crafts), and physicaleducation. Norway, Sweden, Finland additionally incorporated arts and culture into religiouseducation, ethics, social studies, and history. Second, in all four countries, the nationallanguage is the most important subject in the classroom, with literature playing an importantrole. Third, in ISCED1, the proportion of arts and culture courses in all four countries wasmore than 50%, but in ISCED2, the proportion of arts and culture courses decreased overall. In ISCED2, Norway, Sweden, Finland maintained the content of arts and culture at around50.97% to 59.76%, but Korea saw a significant decrease to 33.39%. Fourth, when analyzingthe achievement goals and contents of the curriculum, the four countries had similarachievement goals, and children's literature, songs, stories, dance, and artworks werecommonly used in cultural education, while the three Nordic countries also emphasizedarchitecture and digital tools. Fifth, in terms of arts and culture content, South Koreaemphasizes the arts, while the three Nordic countries reflect cultural diversity with anaesthetic perspective throughout the curriculum. Conclusion: : South Korea education education should understand the need for cultural and artisticeducation in curriculum organization, and refer to the cases Norway, Sweden, Finlandfor future curriculum improvement and promotion to improve the quality of cultural andartistic education and its contribution to educational subjects and beneficiaries.
