잠재성장모형을 활용한 초등 리노베이션 교실 활용의 효과성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 주요 목적은 초등학교 교실 공간혁신 사업의 일환으로 실시된 리노베이션 교실에서 생활하는 학생들의 역량과 학교 만족도가 어떻게 변화하는지 파악하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 D 지역에 소재한 16개 초등학교 중 리노베이션 교실을 사용한 16개 학급과 일반 교실을 사용하는 16개 학급의 2~3학년 학생을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 학생들의 역량과 만족도를 3시점 동안 측정하여 리노베이션 교실 입급 학생과 일반 교실 입급 학생의 성장 패턴을 잠재성장모형 분석을 통해 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 리노베이션 교실 입급 학생과 일반교실 입급 학생의 초기 역량과 학교 만족도에는 차이가 나타나지 않았지만 시간의 흐름에 따라 차별적인 성장이 나타남이 확인되었다. 선형변화 조건모형에서 리노베이션 교실에 입급 여부가 자기관리역량, 공동체역량 및 역량 전체, 학교 만족도의 성장에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 교실 공간의 변화를 통한 학생의 역량 함양 및 학교 만족도 향상의 효과에 대한 의의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this study was to analyze how the competencies and school satisfaction of students living in the renovated classroom implemented as part of the elementary classroom space innovation project. Among the 16 elementary schools located in area D region of Korea, students in grades 2 and 3 of 8 classes using renovated classrooms and 8 classes using general classrooms were selected for the study. Students competency and satisfaction were measured for 3 points and the growth patterns of students entering the renovated classroom and those entering the general classroom were compared through the analysis of the latent growth model. As a result of the analysis, there was no difference in the initial competencies and school satisfaction of students entering the renovated classroom and students entering the general classroom, but it was confirmed that there was a discriminatory growth over time. In the linear change condition model, it was found that entering to the renovated classroom had a positive effect on the growth of self-management competency, community competency and overall competency, and school satisfaction. Based on the results of this analysis, the significance of the effect of improving student competency and school satisfaction through changes in classroom space was suggested.
