국⋅내외 사범대학의 교육목표와 교육과정 편성 비교 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 중등교사양성을 목적으로 하는 국내⋅외 사범대학 화학교육과의 교육목표와 학과의 교육과정의 편성을 비교⋅분석함으로써 화학교육과의 정체성을 갖출 수 있는 교육목표와 교육과정 편성에 대한 시사점 도출을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 교육과정을 전공한 교사 3인이 선행연구 분석과 각 대학 웹사이트에서 구한 교육목표와 교육과정 자료를 분석하였다. 분석한 결과, 첫째, 국내 사범대학은 대학수준, 학과수준의 교육목표가 체계적이고 일관성 있게 진술되어 있는 반면, 국외 사범대학은 학교 현장에서 요구되는 학습방향이 더 자세하고 구체적으로 제시되었음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 각 대학의 화학교육과 교육과정 편제를 분석한 결과 국내대학은 교과내용학이 교직과정에 비해 여전이 높은 비중을 차지하고 있으며, 특정 대학은 전공교과의 지나친 세분화와 다수의 심화과목으로 구성되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 국외 사범대가 교직과정의 비중이 국내보다 더 높아서 교직과정을 더욱 중요하게 다루어지고 있고, 교육실습 시간도 높게 나타나 국외 사범대가 학교 현장과의 연계성을 더욱 중요하게 여기고 있다는 점을 발견할 수 있었다. 이에 교사 양성대학으로서 화학교육과의 정체성을 갖출 수 있는 화학교육의 방향성을 제고하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study compares and analyzes the educational goals of the department of chemistry education at domestic and foreign teachers’ colleges for the purpose of cultivating secondary school teachers and the organization of the curriculum of the department. By doing this, the purpose of this study is to derive implications for establishing the identity of the Department of Chemistry Education regarding educational goals and curriculum organization. To this end, three teachers who majored in curriculum analyzed previous research and analyzed the educational goals and curriculum data obtained from the website. As a result of analysis, First, it was found that the educational goals at the university level and the department level were systematically and consistently stated in the domestic teachers colleges, while the foreign teachers colleges showed more detailed and specific directions for learning required in the school field. Second, as a result of analyzing the chemistry education and curriculum organization of each university, domestic universities still occupy a higher proportion of subject matters compared to teaching courses. In particular, it was confirmed that certain universities consisted of excessive subdivision of major subjects and a number of advanced subjects. Third, foreign teachers colleges have a higher proportion of teaching courses than domestic ones, so teaching courses are treated more importantly. The educational practice time was also high, indicating that overseas teachers colleges are placing more importance on the connection with the school. Accordingly, as a teacher training college, it is improving the direction of chemistry education that can secure the identity of the department of chemistry education.
