국문 초록

본 연구는 맞벌이 부모의 일과 가족 간 갈등이 자아존중감 및 우울과 어떠한 구조적 관계를 가지는지 상호 영향력을 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 자기-상대방 상호의존모형(APIM)을 적용하여 부모의 자기효과와 상대방효과를 비교분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 최종모형에서 부모 간 차이를 검증한 결과, 가족-일갈등이 자아존중감에 미치는 자기효과는 모보다 부의 부적 영향이 더 큰 것으로 나타났으나, 부와 모의 자아존중감이 우울에 미치는 자기효과에서는 부모 간 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 다음으로, 부모의 가족-일갈등이 모의 자아존중감에 미치는 상대방효과와 자기효과의 차이를 검증한 결과, 부모 간 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 맞벌이 부모의 일과 가족 간 갈등과 우울의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 확인한 결과, 자기효과에서는 모의 경우 일-가족갈등과 우울의 관계, 가족-일갈등과 우울의 관계에서 자아존중감의 완전매개효과가 유의미했다. 반면 부의 경우, 가족-일갈등과 우울 간의 관계에서만 자아존중감의 완전매개효과가 유의미했다. 한편, 상대방효과에서는 모의 일-가족갈등과 부의 우울 간 관계에서 부의 자아존중감의 완전매개효과가 유의미했으며, 부의 가족-일갈등과 모의 우울 간 관계에서 모의 자아존중감의 완전매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 맞벌이 부모가 경험하는 일과 가족 간 갈등이 상호관계에서 어떻게 심리적 건강을 저해하는지 밝힘으로써 다중역할을 경험하는 부모 상호간의 역동에 대한 이해를 넓혔다. 연구의 의의와 제한점이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to investigate the mutual influence of work-family conflict, self-esteem and depression on the dual-income couple. The results of comparative analysis of actor-effect and partner effect of husband and wife by applying actor-partner interdependence model(APIM) are as follows. First, the actor-effect of FIW(work interference with family) on self-esteem was higher for husbands than for wives in the final model. However, the actor-effect of self-esteem on depression did not differ between the couple. Next, there was no difference between the actor-effect of wife s FIW on wife s self-esteem and the partner effect of wife s FIW on wife s self-esteem. Second, the mediating effects of self-esteem in the relationship between work-family conflict and depression are as follows. The following is the result of the actor effect. In the case of wife, the full mediation effect of self-esteem was significant in the relationship between WIF and depression, and the relationship between FIW and depression. On the other hand, in the case of husband, the full mediation effect of self-esteem was significant only in the relationship between FIW and depression. Next is the result of the counterpart effect. Here, the full mediation effect of the husband s self-esteem was significant in the relationship between wife s WIF and husband s depression. In addition, the full mediation effect of wife s self-esteem was significant in the relationship between husband s FIW and wife s depression. The significance of this study is to increase the understanding of the dynamics of couples experiencing multiple roles by explaining how work-family conflicts of dual-income couples hinder their psychological health. The suggestions and limitations of this study were discussed.
