영⋅유아교사의 자기돌봄에 대한 인식과 실천

국문 초록

본 연구는 영⋅유아교사에 대한 자기돌봄의 인식과 실천에 관해 살펴보고, 이를 통해 영⋅유아교사의 자기돌봄을 위한 개선방안을 탐색하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 영⋅유아교사들이 자기돌봄에 대해 어떻게 인식 하는지, 그리고 실제적으로 어떠한 자기돌봄을 실천 하였는지에 대해 영⋅유아교사 6명을 대상으로 유목적 표집법 중 눈덩이 표집법(snowball sampling)을 이용하여 심층 면담을 실시하고 그 내용을 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영⋅유아교사들은 자기돌봄이 영⋅유아의 돌봄에서 자신에게 시선을 돌려 성찰하는 것이며, 자기돌봄을 통해 타자돌봄의 윤리적 가치를 실현하는 것이라고 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 자기돌봄 실천은 자기돌봄 인식의 가치와 의미와는 차이를 보였다. 자기돌봄의 실천은 영⋅유아의 돌봄과 교사의 자기돌봄의 경계에서 잠깐의 휴식이나 여유를 갖거나, 일과 삶의 균형을 이루어가려는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 실제 보육 현장에서 형성되는 영⋅유아교사의 자기돌봄에 대한 인식과 실천의 관계를 맥락적으로 그리고 구체적으로 알 수 있었다. 영⋅유아의 돌봄과 교사의 자기돌봄이 서로 연동되어 이루어져야 하며, 교사의 자기돌봄에서 자기 성찰이 중요하다는 사실이다. 본 연구 결과는 교사의 자기돌봄을 실천할 수 있는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 이는 영⋅유아교사의 자기돌봄의 실천에 대한 지원과 개선방안을 위한 정책에도 영향을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the perception and practice of self-care for child care teachers, and to explore ways to improve self-care for child care teachers. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, we used the snowball sampling method among the nomadic sampling methods for 6 child care teachers about how they perceived self-care and what kind of self-care they actually practiced. In-depth interviews were conducted and the contents were analyzed. The research results are as follows. First, child care teachers turned their gaze to themselves in the care of infants and young children, reflecting on self-care, and showed the importance and willingness to practice self-care. Second, in the practice of self-care, the values and meanings of self-care were different. It was found that they tried to take a break or relax, or to achieve a balance between work and life, with the boundary between the care of infants and toddlers and the self-care of teachers. This study was able to find out in context and concretely the relationship between awareness and practice of child care teachers self-care, which is formed in actual child care field. It is a fact that the care of infants and toddlers and the self-care of teachers must be interlocked, and self-reflection is important in the self-care of teachers. The results of this study can be used as basic data to practice self-care of teachers, and this is expected to affect policies for improvement measures and support for the practice of self-care child care teachers.
