실시간 온라인 수업 및 조별 활동에서 외국인 유학생이 느끼는 사회적 실재감 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 실시간 온라인 수업과 수업 중 이루어지는 조별 활동에서 외국인 유학생이 느끼는 사회적 실재감을 연구하고, 사회적 실재감이 온라인 수업 및 조별 활동에 대한 만족도 등에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구에서는 2020년 12월부터 1월까지 중국, 베트남 국적 외국인 유학생 84명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 수집된 데이터를 Jamovi 1.6.1. 프로그램을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학습자의 재학 기간이 길고, 한국어능력 수준이 높을수록 사회적 실재감을 더 느끼는 경향성을 찾아볼 수 있었으나 집단 간에 유의미한 차이는 발견되지 않았다. 반면 컴퓨터 효능감이 높은 집단이 사회적 실재감을 통계적으로 유의한 수준으로 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 상관관계 분석 결과, 사회적 실재감은 온라인 수업 만족도, 온라인 조별 활동 만족도, 오프라인 대비 온라인 수업 선호도 순으로 강한 양의 상관관계를 가지고 있었다. 마지막으로 사회적 실재감은 온라인 수업 만족도와 오프라인 수업 대비 온라인 수업 선호도, 온라인 조별 활동 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 주고 있음이 확인되었으며 그 설명력은 각각 39.3%, 21.7%, 37.5%로 나타났다. 온라인 수업 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 끼치는 변인으로는 개방적 커뮤니케이션이 추출되었으며 온라인 조별 활동 만족도의 경우 정서적인 유대감이 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the social presence of international students in real-time online classes, and to analyze the effect of social presence on the satisfaction of online classes and group activities during class and others. In this study, from December to January 2020, a survey was conducted on 84 international students of Chinese and Vietnamese nationality, and the collected data were analyzed through Jamovi 1.6.1. program. As a result of the study, as the learner s enrollment period was longer and the level of Korean proficiency was higher, a tendency to feel more social presence was found, but no significant difference statistically was found between groups. On the other hand, it was found that the group with high computer efficacy perceived social presence with a statistically significant level. In addition, as a result of the correlation analysis, social presence had a strong positive correlation in the order of online class satisfaction, online group activity satisfaction, and online class preference compared to offline. Finally, it was confirmed that social presence had a significant effect on online class satisfaction, online class preference compared to offline class, and online group activity satisfaction, and their explanatory power was 39.3%, 21.7%, and 37.5%, respectively. Open communication was extracted as a variable that had a significant influence on online class satisfaction, and emotional fellowship had a significant influence on the satisfaction of online group activities.
