중·초교사의 교육전문직 적응과정에 관한 사례연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 중·초교사들 가운데 교육전문직에 임용된 자에 주목하면서 교육전문직 입직 전·후의 적응과정에 있어 주요 특징을 분석하는 데 주된 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구의 목적 달성을 위해, 중·초교사로 임용되어 교육전문직으로 전직된 연구 참여자들을 대상으로 면담(interview)을 통하여 적응과정에 관한 자료가 수집되었고 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자들은 교육전문직입직에 앞서 ‘성취지향적·진취적인 성격’을 지니고 있었다. 둘째, 교육전문직 업무수행에 있어 기존 교육전문직 문화에 적응해 나가면서 자신에게 모범이 될 수 있는 선배로부터 적응 과정을 거치는 일종의 ‘관찰식 도제교육’과 유사한 과정을 거치고 있었다. 셋째, 연구 참여자들의 업무 처리에 있어서도 그들은 ‘나름대로의 원칙’을 확립해 나가는 경험을 하고 있었다. 넷째, 연구 참여자들은 장학에 관하여 자신이 ‘교사시절의 경험’을 토대로 장학활동에 대한 인식을 하고 있었다. 다섯째, 연구 참여자들은 교육전문직으로 전직 후 인간관계적 측면에 있어 ‘중·초교사에 대한 애정과 장벽’을 함께 경험하고 있었다. 요컨대, 중·초교사라는 입직 경로의 특수성은 교육전문직 임용 이후에도 여전히 비공식적으로 영향을 미치고 있었다. 즉, 교육전문직 업무 수행에 있어서는 무리가 없으나, 비공식적이고 업무 외적인 측면에 있어서는 영향이 있을 수 있다. 추후 연구에서는 이들의 사회화 과정에 대한 심도 있는 고찰이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the major characteristics of the adaptation process before and after changing career of Dual-licensed elementary school teachers. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the data on the adaptation process were collected and analyzed through an interview with research participants who were appointed as school supervisors from Dual-licensed elementary school teachers. The main results of this study are as follows: First, participants in the study had a ‘success-oriented and enterprising nature’ before entering the school supervisor. Second, they were going through a similar course to a kind of ‘observation-style apprenticeship education’ in which they went through an adaptation process from a senior who could be an example to him while adapting to the existing school supervision culture in the south korea. Third, they also had the experience of establishing ‘principles as they were in handling the supervision work on their owns. Fourth, participants in the study were aware of scholarship activities based on their experience in their teaching years . Fifth, participants in the study were experiencing love and barriers to Dual-licensed school teachers together in terms of human relations after they were transferred to school supervisor. In short, the specificity of the employment path of Dual-licensed elementary school teachers was still unofficially affecting even after the appointment of school supervisor. In other words, there is no difficulty in performing school supervisor, but there may be an impact on informal and non-work aspects. Further research requires more careful consideration as well as in-depth consideration of their socialization process.
