지적장애학교 음악교과 운영에 대한 중등부 교사의 인식 및 개선방안 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 특수교육에서의 음악교육을 담당하는 교사를 대상으로 구체적인 어려움에 대한 객관적 분석과 효율적인 음악교육 활동 방안을 제시하기 위하여 지적장애특수학교 중등부의 음악교과 운영에 대한 교사의 인식을 분석하고, 개선방안을 탐색하였다. 2020년 3월부터 6월까지 서울·부산·울산·경남 지역의 26개 지적장애 특수학교에서 음악을 담당하고 있는 중등부 교사 143명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 가장 주안점을 두는 음악교육 목적은 소통 및 공감능력 향상으로 나타났다. 음악교과 지도 시 가장 힘든 점으로 학생들의 장애특성에 따른 음악교수-학습의 어려움이라고 나타났으며, 음악교과 전담교사가 필요하다는 인식이 높았다. 음악교과전담교사가 필요한 이유는 음악교과의 지식과 기능적 전문성 제고 때문이라는 응답이 높았으며, 음악교과 전담교사가 필요하지 않은 이유로는 ICT 자료를 이용하면 기능적인 제한이 어느 정도 해결되기 때문이라는 응답이 가장 많은 비율로 나타났다. 장애학생의 효율적인 음악교육을 위해서는 장애특성에 맞는 음악교과 지도방법 개선에 대한 응답이 높게 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 음악교과의 전문성을 존중하는 형태의 교육과정이 운영되고, 다양한 연수 프로그램과 보조적 자료 등의 지원을 통해 지적장애학생들에게 효율적으로 음악교과 지도가 실행될 수 있도록 개선되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes teachers perceptions of music curriculum management of middle school in special schools with intellectual disabilities in order to provide an objective analysis of specific difficulties and efficient music education activities for teachers in charge of music education in special education The improvement plan was searched. A survey was conducted on 143 middle school teachers in charge of music at special schools with intellectual disabilities. The most difficult point when teaching a music subject was the difficulty of teaching-learning music according to the disability characteristics of students, and there was a high recognition that a music subject dedicated teacher was needed.
